I think this succinctly puts it, as far as my take on the movie.....

I saw this when I walked into church yesterday, and after watching the movie in the afternoon, I thought it most applicable!!

***Life with Christ is an endless hope......Without Him, a hopeless end.*****

If that's not the theme of the movie, I don't know what is!!

Agree????

A thunderstorm seems to be brewing!!

The Copland is an arrangement of an old ballad:"On the lake where drooped the willow..." Sound familiar?

Hi, yes, all fixed, have another day of setting tile/grout there, though. Nothing like blowing out an oven element to get things going, eh?

Seems they like me at work. Was told to report at 7am starting tomorrow, what fun. That's ok, I need the $$$. So, won't be around until this time tomorrow. I hate it when work cuts into my FReeping. Dammit! ;)

President Bush: Cuts wood, clears brush.
Resident Bubba: Cuts cheese, stinks, still sucks. His
legacy? Carter no longer worst president America ever suffered!

2/3's is right, Clintax is calling the shots in the democrat party. Perhaps the left will indeed rue the day they took him into the fold. Hope so, and soon!

The office is about to close and I am dying for a big glass of ice and Pepsi. Will see you good people sometime tomorrow.

Possibly, Guenevere. But you know my thoughts. The theme IMO,isn't all that explicitly or well drawn, beyond the idea that Providence gave us Signs, if only we'd paid attention!

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

The Dems will have x42 and the Hildabeast as long as they raise the big bucks for them. And I've read in the last while that the Hildabeast is now the best fundraiser the DNC has. I'm afraid those two will be around for a long, long time...

P.M. to all and trust all have had a good day. Just got back from 'the farm' so, gotta catch up with all going on. Got bout half bush hoggeding done, will finish tomorrow. It is cloudy here on the coast, pleasant, very much so, used lots of bug spray and drank lots of gator aid.

Decided to walk the farm first, man, I found some tracks that looked like a wolfs track, big as can be, most likely a coyote but what ever, it is biggggg.

Gd had first day in her new christian school today, she loved it and the first thing out of her mouth was. PawPaw, they let us pray in class, thank God she is in a normal surronding.

Went to the shrimp boasts and bought 15 pounds of shrimp a few ago, $18.00, eat your hears out ya'll, fresh shrimp, cheap price, ahhhhh, thats what I call living high on the hog.

Again, just droped in to say howdeeee, glad to be here, talk to you later. GC6

In contrast to that movie, I am finally reading and gettin a lot of The Sacred Romance.

Have started 1 or 2 times before, but it demanded too much...was too painful.

Think I'm going to make it this time!

Clinton will be a thorn in their side, forever. They are going to cry in their beer one day and will not be able to do one thing about it. Evil man, Evil party.

I was listening to Jerry Falwell talking about Liberty College. 11,000 students, 2,500 freshmen just this year and here is what really caught my attention. All members of his church kids get their collge tution FREE, nothing, just go to class, now that is what I call a blessing to a lot of kids.

A very fine description of terry m. and x42...I like Dorothy Anne's style. :-)

OH NO! A CLINTON CLONE!

Terry McAuliffe takes over at the DNC

by Dorothy Anne Seese dottie@politicalusa.com
2/5/2001

'This morning I met Terry McAuliffe on Meet The Press. His lips were moving but they were playing a tape of the Clinton agenda. Well, excuse me, the "one percent" and "when all the votes are counted" are Al Gore material, but then, that's Clinton agenda too. (Notice, Gore is out of sight while Clinton has apparently been anointed by Jesse Jackson as ex officio prime minister to the world.)

It isn't that the name Terry McAuliffe is new to me, it's that I haven't seen him in a television interview before. In fact, that can be beneficial to one's health and sanity. (I don't watch much television, which is beneficial to one's health and sanity.) Every time he said "we have to move forward" it came after a scathing reference to the Florida election or some other trite and tired cliché from the post-election fiasco. Translation: "I've had my say and you can't have yours in rebuttal." This guy has redefined and polished the term rude to where it's almost a Clintonesque art form.

He seemed to visibly irritate moderator Tim Russert. Perhaps because Tim Russert couldn't control what or how McAuliffe responded, butted in, rudely interrupted and pushed his agenda, ignoring or twisting the questions to get to the Agenda Tape. Russert appeared to be about as effective a moderator today as Jim Lehrer was during the presidential debates. (Sorry, Tim, but you came up short today by not openly telling McAuliffe to shut up.)

It's very clear who is running the Democratic National Committee and hence, the Democratic party: Bill Clinton and Friends.

Meanwhile, as Bubba's toadies raise funds, lie, spew bitterness and show no form of bipartisanship, Bubba himself is meddling in the affairs of Israel, the Middle East and wherever he can get press coverage and money.

You mean anyone would pay to hear Clinton after eight years of the blighter and his babe ... err, wife ... in the White House? Well, people pay good money to watch cable porn and take bungee jumps. Probably the same people as pay money to hear Clinton.

McAuliffe is a monied fund raiser who talks like a former high-pressure used car salesman for Honest Ace's Chop Shop.

No matter that his affiliations with the Teamsters and other organizations are a bit shady. He remains dauntless. He lies like a fish and trills like a whippoorwill as the agenda spews on and on like waters from the River Styx. He froths out bitterness. "Moving ahead" is his euphemism for sabotaging everything on the Republican administration's program. His lack of respect for anything but "The Agenda" is unabashedly obvious.

I will have to say one thing in McAuliffe's favor, however. When he lies, it comes out sounding like a lie. His face even looks like it's aware that he's lying.

Only one thing McAuliffe lacks ... the Bill Clinton Charm School manner of lying in such a way that one is convinced he believes what he is saying and can't tell truth from fiction.

Other than that small detail, McAuliffe is a Clinton Clone, right down to his weird alliances and shady pals. Well, what's shadier than a Clinton?

It's going to be an interesting four years. Hopefully, the saner Democrats will break with the former regime and open the windows. You never know what might fly out.' © Dorothy Anne Seese, 2001

The democratic party has some interesting rules. The presidential candidates get to appoint the power structure that writes the parties nomination rules for the next election. For example in 1968 as part of the deal that got Hubert Humphries the Democratic nomination and support from the Anti War forces, Hubert appointed a left wing Anti War Governor to be in charge of writing the rules for the nominating process to be used in 1972. HHH as part of the deal appointed a very leftist anti war Senator. The Senator's name was George McGovern. Isn't it funny how those rules George McGovern adopted for his party helped George McGovern get the Democratic nomination in 1972?

In 1972 Candidate George McGovern badly needed help in the South. He needed Southern support. In return for support in his race for the Presidency George McGovern agreed to appoint a little known Southern Governor to be in charge of drawing up the rules for the nomination process in 1976. It was that little known Georgia Governor named Jimmmy Carter who got to draw up the rules used in 1976. I seem to notice something resembling a pattern here! As you may notice a Democratic candidate can control who will be in charge of the rules for the next election. Did I mention that Gore saw to it Gore people will have the say about the rules for 2004? Well, I should have.

But rule changes are not enough if labor unites against a candidate. But rules control topped off with organized labor support is unbeatable. Gore got labor. He knew lots of the party would be against his second try. But with labor he can nail down that second try. With Labor the nomination is nearly a lock. He had to give labor what HHH gave the left and what McGovern gave Carter. He had to promise to give control of the national party to labor until at least 2008. Once labor has control they will not let go. They will not trade control to get help in 2008 or 2012 from the media or the fat cats. They will use the control to retain control. From here on out labor will determine who gets the Democratic nomination. Todays new generation of labor leaders are interested in power. Making the Democratic party the Labor Party is real power. You see the gamble is this. If Gore makes the deal and gets elected in 2004, then he can control the party at least until 2012. But if he loses labor is in the drivers seat for 2008. But if Gore wins and wins again he can renig before 2012. Gore had to agree to do what labor wants if he is elected and give them the control of the party if he is not. No other Democratic candidates hs been willing to pay labor's price. Gore is willing. He wants to be President.

You ask how Gores position on the enviornment would square with the Unions veiws on drilling oil? Where ever did you get the notion that Gore has views he believes in and principles he stands by? Heavens to Bill Clinton, Gore's enviornmental blathering has no bearing on the matter. Al Gore wants an evirornment where the people who exist in it, call him Mr. President. Al has no trouble greasing the wheels of his presidential bandwagon with Alaskan oil.

Gore will say that we must have fuel to provide for the needy. Gore will say we have to drill ANWAR but only under the strictest enviornmental standards. Gore will define "strictest enviornmental standards" as however the auto workers want it done. Did I say Gore will do it for the Children? I didn't say it. But Gore will!

Gore wants to breathe the pure clean air of the oval office from behind the desk. Let us just say Gore's clean air act of 2004 may be a little on the CRUDE side.

My mom just called. My little nephew Jacob has HUS again. We just went out to dinner Saturday night as a family, and my sister-in-law brought him, he was so healthy looking and happy. And then yesterday, he started with a little cold. Apparently with the familial HUS, either an illness can trigger it, or it runs on a course. It looks as if he may get it about every two months from the start of the previous episode. They won't put him in the hospital until he needs a blood transfusion, which will probably be tomorrow. If I could ask for all your prayers again...

The prognosis for recurring familial HUS is not good. About 1/3 of the kids die, many more have permanent kidney damage. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers.
