Guess what just arrived in the mail. Two Wodehouse books, gifts of someone on the Wodehouse newsgroup who was clearing out part of his collection. One is Leave it to Psmith (1924, second printing) and the other is Full Moon (first printing, but the page with the year is missing). They were both library books so well worn and falling apart just a bit, but I'm so happy to have them.

I've been resting my back a lot today.....extra naps, heating pad, and stuff.
Probably try for the movies tomorrow, instead.

Do you have a Half-Price Books store near you? It is a chain that sells everything at hald the retail price...books, CD's, etc.
I have found lots of hard-cover books there, some for as little as $3.00. I am trying to get all the Agatha Christie mysteries in hardback, as well as Wodehouse, Tom Clancy, James Michener, and my favorite romance novelist, Patricia Veryan (who does excellent Regency novels, no sweaty stuff).
I highly recommend this place, as you can often find remainders, as well as books from estates that people bring in. I also get ALL my gardening books there.
Wonderful about getting the Wodehouse in the mail. Free is, of course, the best price of all!

Jim, check out post #107. I wonder what the house will look like when I get back? If you ever get married, don't teach her how to run air tools. LOL!

*Prayers* to us ALL that we remain
FOCUSED and are granted
wisdom ... insight ... may those traveling do so
safely and with
peace of mind ... and may those whose pieces and
parts are not cooperating find comfort ... those whose
hearts are calling out ... may they hear His word and feel His love ...
As an aside ... it might be a good idea if I stop yelling at Him ... but I digress ...
A shout out for a wee bit o' whimsy seems a plan ... small miracles and remembrances of the lasting things ...
Singapore ... you've no idea how very timely your post was for me today ... Lisa is an inspiration ... as is/was her husband. Thank you!
kayak ... *sigh* ... another day with no clear answers about your rash ... 'tis nuts ...
Lorena ... you are such a sweety ... your graphics ... and the thought behind them ... fills out hearts ...
gulfcoast ... how is your back?!
Hello, M Hehoe! And sunshine state ... 'tis good to see you!
Miss Marple .. there is a squirrel which has run amok in Illinois ... sounds like a job for Cassie the Designer Coon ... HA!
/john ... I am glad your kiddo is healing.
Jemian ... Ok ... tomorrow we'll start the mega *prayers* again ... and it's Monday for you, The Raven, right?! You are traveling to Europe?
Well ... my day started with what seems a lasting thing ... by this I mean, of course, Litigation Instigation ... there's a law firm here which is now running a commercial stating that if you lost money in your portfolio and 401K ... it could be negligence on the part of your stock broker.
flab-gasting ... as jtill would say.
Molly, you asked about my dear friend whose husband died 2 years ago ... I am sorry I failed to answer until now ... well ... time is doing its healing miracles ... she is stronger by the day. Her boy, Michael ... has evened out ... in large part due to his many uncles who have stepped in to try and fill the void ... nothing will ever be the same ... but ... some things have nearly returned to normal. I am very proud of her... and thank you for remembering her!
Holding ... how is Panda?! HA!
Where's Mozie and DJ?!
Lois and Clark ... yodel-LAAdee-yodal-LAAdee ... yoda-LaaaaaaaDEEEEEE-hooooo!
Species ... I hope you are enjoying a peaceful, *joyful* weekend ... you had a simply awful week!
HELLO!, Clara Suzanne!! *grins* I still think of you as a dear, wee, calico cat. *smile*
Ok ../bandwidth wastage ...

Just clean up the mess, sweetie. And keep an eye on the compressor. The output pressure (adjustable with the knob) should not be any greater than 100 psi. Rest the compressor ocassionally, as it gets hot, and ask Tom to drain it for you tonight when you are done.

Hello ISB. It's aa wonderful weekend. I'm having a beer, watching Lord of the Rings on DVD, and freeping. Except for not getting to watch Trill rip up the tile in the entry-way, things couldn't be better.

Hello. I have been on a thread where someone who
claims to be a DoD employee is bashing the President and saying that Saddam Hussein is not a threat to America.
I need my disappearing ray gun perfected pronto!
Looked out on the back porch and two young cats (half-grown kittens) were playing under the potted flowers.
Later this afternoon, I took Cassie out and put her on a chain while I watered. She tore up the entire back porch, knocking over pots and tables, because she smelled the scent of those cats, although they were long-gone.
Tomorrow is my mother's birthday, and my youngest sister is having an outdoor brunch for her, and as a bonus my niece who was in Japan is also now home (thank goodness) and is going to be there. I am looking forward to a family gathering...lasting things, if you will.

"...[T]he views of professional and religious organizations and the result of opinion polls are irrelevant. Equally irrelevant are the practices of the 'world community' whose notions of justice are (thankfully) not always those of our people. We must never forget that it is the Constitution of the United States that we are expounding...." --Justice Antonin Scalia
