Is this an invasion of privacy? Could this be used by child rapers? See how many things you can come up with.

It's a leap.

I can't stand public education -- especially with federal involvement -- but even I don't see a problem with this particular assignment.

Are you sure this isn't part of the entrance exam for UNCCH?

Come on people, you can do better than this. Nope, I can't. I had an assignment almost identical to this some 35 years ago. If it bothers you that much, perhaps you're in the wrong school.

Uhh...doesn't look any different then the "how I spent my summer vacation" style stuff most people do in school. As long as it's not like "How many gun's does mommy keep in the house?" or "How much alcohol is in your liquor cabinet" style stuff, I think it's fine.

See, I was right! My son experienced a few times, something like this in his Elementary School, (you know, when the kids are too little to know any better) let alone what the phrase "Invasion of Privacy" means. They're just little angelic innocents wanting to please their teacher. Man oh man, this burns me up! Nobody should be asking children to give out personal information about themselves or family. No one.
I thank you for sharing this with us, but man am I steamed!
