I see I should have been a little clearer. My apologies.
I do support a lot of what the man has to say, particularly with regards to the gay agenda (which I find inherently evil), but I find his approach to Islam counter-productive.
Maybe my view comes from living in a town for 15 years that has a large Islam minority running around, so I know several. They wouldn't hurt a fly.
I think this is one of those instances where, like what has been happening in the Catholic Church, the leadership could have done more to address certain issues. Would I have liked Islamic mosques to have spoken out more? Yes. Did they, no. Regrettable.
Are there extremists in the Islamic faith - of course. But one needs to look no further than Yugoslavia in recent history to see the overwhelmingly Christian Serbs beating up, raping, and pilliaging the predominately Moslem Bosnians. I don't recall a huge outcry from the Christian community about that one. Also, regrettable.
But, I believe people are people, and most folks don't want to live in a world of violence and chaos. And, while it is true terrorists all seem to have a common religious background, I am of the opinion the Rev. Franklin Graham doesn't help matters by dismissing out of hand even those moderates that might be reachable.
In short, I do not dislike the man - there is actually much I admire about him. This is an area where he and I would, with respect I hope, disagree.
How are you doing tday?
But yes, that one person leaving caused a snowball effect, mostly because of this government CA (Cost Analysis) Study where they review agencies to see if the job can be done more efficiently/cheaper by contracting it out...what is happening in my case is Management has decided to PLAN ahead in the event the CA study is approved and we have a RIF/hiring freeze ... suffice to say I was told I can stay here, but will be down graded to a lower pay grade which means I lose money, or I can find a job in another department, which isn't easy to do because of my job series..It is complicated and causing my stomach to boil over.
He said he is going to go to the Hill for an authorization, so I think we will see just that.
illstillbe - Looking forward to your Ehrlich campaign nugget.
When we were at the lake in w. Maryland last month, we took walks every morning around the area, observing the houses, the lake, etc.
One day, we saw a car with an Ehrlich sticker.
It was a Jag....Typical, rich & greedy Republicans, it seems.:-)
maybe we should let Nita & Bit enlighten him :)

Only one problem. Lie detector tests work on the basis of two sets of questions. One set where the respondant is supposed to tell the truth and deliberately lie - so the operator can tell the difference, and a second set that has to do with what is being investigated.
The issue is on the first set. Since Congresscritters have no problem lying about anything, how will you be able to establish the difference between that and the truth?
These Muslims who wouldn't hurt a fly..........
Why aren't we seeing them take out adds in newspapers.....declaring their allegiance to & support of America?
Why aren't these folks who live around us flying American flags in support?
...wearing little flag pins in support.
....usuing any & all opportunities to claim homage to our nation.....in support.
The deafness is LOUD!
