I think that certain people would not want to hear Gabriel's horn. I can tell you of a lot of people that think this particular Gabrielle blows her horn too often!!!

Whooooops, but I really don't think that it called for the sentence or the huge fine. I think the black eyes and the public humiliation was enough.

Miss C, to show you the hilarity I've had to put up with for the last 33 years, here's the reaction of my old college buddy Howard (the Miami football nut, he lives in Ottawa now) to the picture of me you posted:
"this has got to be the most disgarghsting garbage ever posted on the web.
it's extremely gggrrrrrrrooooooooooossssssssssssssssssssss."

My idea of having fun today is getting all the projects I lined up accomplished, even though I'm not pressed with a deadline. That way when hubby comes hom, I can justify saying I need a break and will get to go out and have a couple beers by myself!!!! Something I have not done in quite a while.
Now for homework.
Another refulgent example of the incrementalism mentality of the anits, this time in Dallas:
Plan targets restaurant smoke in Dallas - Nonsmoking sections must be smoke-free
They know outright won't work, so they just do it ittle by little. These people are going to have to wake up one of these days and realize the public can only take so much of their crapola.

I was just goofing with you after the conversation we all had about what you were going to do about it yesterday!!!
The last time I used the blowdryer was 2 weeks ago after a storm and because of a window open I needed it to dry the windowsill so that I could repaint it!!!
I can count on one hand, with fingers left over how many times I've used the blow dryer on my hair in the past year.

Thank you - for some reason I thought it was a female saint, but now I remember and know you are correct.
I think I will go and get myself a statue of him.
If I remember correctly, I'm supposed to dig a hole and bury it upside down???

I truly can't believe the audacity of these CPS workers. They're out of control. With all the cases they currently have in their files what are they doing out trolling to interfere in fantasy cases? They are dangerous. California is particularly bad.
When I lived in CA from 1977 to 1992 I became a legal foster mother. The first child I had in my home was a friend of my child and had been raped by her father's brother, of which he had 8. Her mother and father were divorced and Mom threw her out because the kid (then 13) was responsible for the attack. Her boyfriend brought her to my house and asked if she could stay for a day or two.He was much older than her (21) but a dim soul and maybe mentally 16, and kind to her.
One day while I was cooking I heard her on the phone, crying and saying she would not back down no matter what they did to her. Not yet aware of the rape I asked if she needed help and she told me the story and that her father was threatening to hurt her if she testified against his brother.I called CPS. They immediately placed her under protective custody and asked me to take her until the end of the school year(3 month away). I did.
The girl was messed up and a real problem. I arranged for her to see a shrink and she never had shots for diseases. We got that handled. Her mother had said she couldn't have shots for religious reason. They worshiped Baal, (just kidding).
Two months into this the foster girl, my child and another girl borrowed the boyfriend's new Ford truck without his knowledge, he was working and so was I, and at10 AM one Saturday morning took a joy ride, hitting a lumber truck head on. The Ford truck blew up, they were all ejected on impact. Fortunately they all survived, not too badly scarred, but with lengthy hospital stays. A broken femur, dislocated shoulder, brain swelling and multiple cuts and bruises. They looked like they had been shot with bird shot from the breaking glass. My girl had the broken femur and the dislocated shoulder.
The foster kid's mother, she had 4 daughter's each with a different father, sued me personally, State of CA, and the Social Worker. I was accused of all the ugliest things you can possibly immagine. I worked full time and had a housekeeper and they made her life miserable. This went on for 2 years.I was traumatized out of my mind. The State paid for the defense and the attorney's made a bundle of money, but the jury finally decided that the foster girl was responsible for the crash.
The State was not about to lose that trial. Can you imagine the repercussions if they lost? Every foster family in the State would have been sued by someone.
I learned so much about CPS and it's workings that I was horrified. Not too shortly thereafter I moved to Florida to take care of my parents in their old age, but it was an experience I would gladly have missed.
