TOPSAIL BEACH, N.C.(AP) - A Wisconsin teen visiting the beach for the first time had 33 stitches and staples after a shark bit him on the leg, authorities said.
Robert Pollan, 14, of Stoughton, Wis., was bitten about 11 a.m. Monday on the upper right leg while in the water at the southern end of Topsail Beach. He was treated at New Hanover County Regional Medical Center and released.
"He took a big chunk out of my leg, but after it heals I will be ready to go back in," Robert said shortly after he was released from the hospital.
Topsail Beach police Chief Rickey Smith said the bite was the first reported shark attack on the beach in his 18 years with the department.
Maybe this will slow down the child abduction stories....

Prentice needs to know this - he hasn't made the paper with a shark attack yet.

Put the CD's in a safe place... your biggest challenge is getting connected to your ISP.

Am I to take your comment to mean that XP is such a bear that connecting to the internet is a nightmare?
Sheet.....considering I live in the boonies, for the most part my ISP has been great.....there for about a 3 - 4 week period there were problems....but they all seem to be ok now--just this POS I've been using! :)

Am I to take your comment to mean that XP is such a bear that connecting to the internet is a nightmare?NO!, but if you have an istallation CD or disk's from your ISP, that will be a big help. If you don't, maybe your ISP has some on its homepage you can copy before you get started.
To: operation clinton cleanup
or if your ISP has some instructions on configuring XP on thier home page, print them out now.

I have a CD from my ISP. I got it a couple of weeks back hoping to straighten out my mail program....but the POS was telling me I had a CD DRive, and eeverytime I tried to use it, it gave me some stupid message about the drive not being ready or not available or some such garbage!
It was at that point I said either the POS goes or I do!! Teeheeeheeeeee, POS LOST!!!! BIGTIME!!!!!!
I called Debbie at the ISP today to see if I needed a new disk--I was thinking this one was just for 'fixin' stuff and not actually the mail program. But she told me that OE comes preloaded....I will have to use the CD to install the local info and also my info.

" I suspect the ones across the street are flaming liberals, so this will be interesting." What gives you that idea? The bumper stickers that say "Hug A Tree," "Lesbians Rule," and Gore in '04?"
To: Rowdee
I cant argue with debbie! If you freepmail me the name of your ISP, I can take a look at thier homepage and let you know what you need to know for setting up in XP.
