AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 561) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 4, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 08/04/2002 4:30:44 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

In a closed-door meeting with Secretary Rumsfeld, the head of the US Special Operations Command reportedly discussed a series of agressive covert operations to conduct against Al Qa'eda.

Otherwise, not much news of import.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

*Prayers* continue for your Uncle, lysie ...

Clara Suzanne ... I have been meaning to tell you how very much I appreciate your wondrous pictures/graphics ... and the sentiment that goes along with them! And. I just did. *grins*

She is simply taking a course in anthropology as an elective. Her major still remains fine arts.

When last I spoke to her, she is re-thinking the law school thing. She wants a full-time job, and does not want to go to evening school. I remain patiently listening and am trying very hard not to inject my opinion into her decision. She has a way to go before she must make a decision.

Hopefully we are going to get some thunderstorms this evening. We need rain badly!

#40 ... LOL!!

You crack me up ... well ... something this way wacky came, if you ask me.

Old Friend made the observation that the loopy-levin phoned in to Hannity right after Sean made those comments ... and sounded ... strange?!

Hello, Old Friend!

Oh ... hello to you habs4ever, too!

I remain patiently listening ...

SMKs ... I use that technique as well. If I told my husband of every plan my daughter formulates he would lose his mind. I've learned to wait and see what transpires.

Well ... we got some needed rain ... but I had to call Louis out to cut up a tree which feel in the fenced in area of my yard... an old and tired Cherry that didn't have the strength for one more storm.

I wish I were a woodworker ...(sounds like a song) ... seems like such a waste. Imagine what /john could do with it!!

W. ... 100 hundred years ago, two enterprising 20 year old men were tinkering in their garage and came up with something which CHANGED THE WORLD!!!

Know what it was?!
Yep ... the beautious Harley-Davidson! HAR!

Heehehee.....

Gee, I can't relate to that at all!

Wink, wink.

I see I have been bitten by the chatty-cathy bug.

Yes, Miss Marple ... I recall your daughter is an Arts major ... I would so enjoy seeing some of her work.

My daughter loves anthropology ... particularly when combined with her photography ...

Well ... biden is now spreading his pay grade all about ... ugh ...

relate to that...

Hello, Mozie!

Indeed ... just this last winter alone she was going to bike through New Mexico ... bike through Germany ... she was going to go to Mexico and camp in remote villages ... move to Harlem and compile a photo journal ...

Instead ... she just returned from Ocean City. LOL!

Just thinking about you, jtill.

You mentioned zoos when talking about your vacation. The one thing this stupid state has been able to accomplish it to build a truly wondrous zoo! Not too big, nor small ... very user-friendly. Just nice.

Zoos generally depress the dickens out of me ... but not this one.

There is also the Baltimore Aquarium ... which is really amazing ... built so that the fish are contained in plexiglass with "shoots" which carry them up and over you ... all about ... as if you are being swarmed by squid. Kinda unsettling ... while interesting.

It's too bad about your tree, ISB. Cherry wood is some beautiful wood, but it takes about 3 years or so to dry it properly for wood working (without a kiln). I've turned some beautiful wooden cups out of boise de arc wood that we cut off of the old property. Cherry makes for beautiful bowls.

That was what I was thinking, /john. *grins*

I was picturing you rubbin' your hands together at the prospect.

Well ... 'twas a tired fellow ... had been leafing out less and less as the years went on. Louis saved a large section which I will put on my deck as a reminder ...

How are your feet doing?!

My feet are fine. I heavily modified some new insoles to provide the support I needed. I also took the advice several people here gave me, and gained much needed relief.

I went by the office today to pick up some personal effects. It still suprises me that they have made an exception to policy by leaving my access badge active, and making me keep my laptop, pager, etc. They are going to be very disappointed when I come back from training and leave to find a new career after a couple of months. It almost makes me feel guilty.

We're going to hit triple digits here in Texas today. I'm going to be hitting the road in about an hour to head back to San Antonio. I am VERY glad the AC in the truck works.

Quite the jokester, you are, Species. *grins*

I actually enjoy the way you so obviously love your state. Have you always lived there?! BTW ... I think your M-i-l probably got hit with a heck of a storm last night.

John ... safe driving! How's your daughter feeling?!

Sounds like a fun drive! I have the teeenagers today as Mrs. Species is working nights over the weekend. Going to take them shooting I think. (Hunting season starts in 3 weeks).

Bratling is spending a lot of time on the couch. She's still got a cough. Her fever comes and goes. She's ready to be over it. ;>)
