ANd YES i am at work...and the chronically ill one is at work today, but her partner in crime is not...her partner in crime starts her vacation on monday and conviently has allergies bothering her today...they were sooooo bad that she had the foresight to take home her stuff from the fridge, empty her recycle bin a day early, and put on her out of office message..I guess she had a Miss Cleo moment yesterday afternoon before she left work.HAHAHAH....

To all! An update on Eric:

Yesterday we got this postcard from Eric. On the back of it he said, "....we just shot our M16's in our protective masks, and this is what we looked like! Cool, eh? And, of course, I am BAD to the BONE!"

Eric's in Blue Phase now, the final phase of Basic Training, with only 3 weeks to go before graduation. (THANK YOU LORD!!!)

He is still loving it! In the next 3 weeks he will work with grenades and rocket launchers, go on bivouac, and go on 10k and 15k marches in full gear.

He passed his M16 marksmanship test on the first try, though he wanted to score higher (he doesn't want anybody to do better than he!).

He's enjoying being in the PT stud room with only 4 guys and says he sleeps better there.......wonder why? He still thinks the food is good, and is getting more homesick, but says that knowing that he'll see us in three weeks makes it OK. He's also still involved in Bible studies with some of the guys, and was going through Romans with a 27 year old friend who hadn't read a Bible since he was a kid.

I know that you'll forgive my pride when I say.....God is going to use this young man in a mighty way! He is so thrilled to be where God wants him to be, and would like continued prayer for protection against the language and sexual jokes, for the guys he's sharing Christ with, and for him to be used by God in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your prayers!!! You are faithful friends, and I thank God for each of you!!

Well, the kidnapper said 'I will not be taken alive' and the police said, 'OK' and they 'kilt' him hitting his body nine (thats 9) times. Radcliff had what you would call a bad day. Thank God the girls are OK cause they say he was on the way to kill them.

Went to the farm store yesterday and bought me another Mexican straw 'designer' hat, cost me a whopping $3.98, had to get me another, I killed my other hat while cutting the farm, limb knocked my hat off and I ran over it with the bush hogg, second time I have done this but this time there was no fixing it, I am sad though, I loved that ole hat.

I was plesed with the prices for the fence I am going to put up, a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. $12.95 for the corner post, $2.20 for the metal post, $89.95 for 330' of hog wire and $24.93 for 1320 feet of barb wire and, $2.15 a tube for Ben Gay. I am going to need several tubes of ole Ben before I get finished witht the fence for sure. How are these prices compared with those in your area, for you folks who have put up such fences. And oh yeah, please someome tell me how far to space the metal post, ever 15'?

Now that the 'greenies' have caused thousands of acres of out parks to be destroyed witht he fires, think something will be done about them? I understand more and more politicians are getting special waivers since little tommy d. said 'it ok for ya'll (opps, he is a yankee, it sould be 'you all') to burn but not MY state. He is such a jerk and thats with a capital J.

Off to see d and get my cup # 3 then cut her and my yards. I enjoy doing this as it gives me excercise. So, prayers for you to stay safe and free from illness and for those with special needs. Please, put OUR President W on top of your prayer list, he can use them from all the attacks he is getting and for the elderly, the 'grey bunch' is always there for you. Here I am with my brand new computer which we set up yesterday. I still can't get the scanner to work and the error message seems to use terminology not found anywhere in the pages and pages of help.

Our computer, of course, came with 6 months of free AOL, but after reading the article below, I am more committed than ever to never have anything to do with AOL again.
