We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Quick start this morning. I apologize for starting late today - the backup job I was running took longer than expected.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Next year we are either going to do a "week at Disney" (like every OTHER American family does) so that the boys can experience it just like tourists. :-) OR...we are going to go to Williamsburg, VA for a week. I went there as a child and I remember it so well....I thought it was so cool seeing all those people dressed up. I wanted a sun bonnet like Laura Ingalls had..but alas, my mother wouldn't let me get one. Instead I got a stupid silver bracelet and my brothers got muskets. Do you know that a couple of years ago on my birthday my mother gave me a sunbonnet???? ROFLOL......I never let her forget about that, I guess....hahaha.
I get this notice, Checking to see if you ....something to do with a cookie, I think.
I don't like cookies.
But it looks interesting....how do I get through?
..and well.....
...my kids still laugh about it...UGH
....DJ, Williamsburg is lovely, and quaint.....but as you know, it's not Disney World :))
I accepted the terms.....and watched them..
"On Monday, Time Warner spokeswoman Karen Hartley said the company would charge customers $300 for cable boxes destroyed by flooding.
But on Wednesday, President Kevin G. Kidd said the company had decided not to charge customers for the converters.
"There clearly has been a lot of miscommunication on this issue in the last few days," said Kidd, who replaced Navarra Williams as president last week.
Okay, 3 things stick out here and they really don't add up: 1. Kidd just last week replaced Navarra Williams as president, so he'd only been there (at the most) 1 week.
2. On Monday, the SPOKESPERSON announced that they would be charging customers for the boxes.
3. On Wednesday, it says that Kidd had decided not to charge the customers and had set up an "executive response team" who these customers were supposed to call.
Now, are they telling us that they just decided this on Wednesday, or are they telling us that it was already in place before Kidd replaced Navarro, in which case the spokesperson should have known about this policy, or are they just making this whole thing up?
I don't know why I am so stuck on this issue, it just really ticks me off. I think it's called CYA time.
We also used to go up to Cape Cod quite a bit when I was young; I don't remember it at all. My parents (don't laugh) were quite the Kennedy fans, and they used to drive by the street they lived on every year...big deal. You will never, ever be able to convince my mother that John F. Kennedy was a womanizer....she had the biggest crush on him. Oh well. ;-) At least she's become a Republican (and I have no idea who helped her with that...) *WINKS*
Me. :-)
"Q Ari, why are you reluctant to say flat out, as you were this morning, that the President is going on vacation next week?
MR. FLEISCHER: The President is going on vacation next week. What I enjoy pointing out to everybody is Presidents are entitled to take vacation. And people in Washington, I suppose, are entitled to take potshots. (Laughter.) And the fact is, I've seen countless stories that call it a month-long vacation. Believe me, I work for him. Would that it were a month-long vacation; I wouldn't mind one.
But, you know, this is part of the silliness of Washington, where President take a look at something that's not a month long. The President, who is going to bring the White House with him to Crawford, who is going to do an awful lot of work down while he's in Crawford, who's going to travel to 12 cities during the 25 days he's there, and when you subtract out all the days the President is traveling or the days that the President is going to welcome foreign leaders to Crawford, or the days that he's going to have an economic forum in Waco, the fact is he's probably going to be down to about two weeks, just like everybody else, like most people.
The fact of the matter is, the President of the United States is entitled to a vacation just like everybody else. Washington is just a silly town sometimes, where people don't let a good man have a vacation without having to make more of it than it is."
Idiots!
``On Sept. 11, America was attacked and the president will be going to the three locations that were hit to continue to rally our nation and to mourn and to pay respects to the memory of those who lost their lives and to their families,'' White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan said Friday."
I hate the media!!!!!
Wonder when we will see this reported on the news...??
