04/01/01	Sunday	Ricci burglarizes a Smart neighbor's home taking various items.
06/05/01	Tuesday	Ricci steals items from the Smart home while he is employed there as a handyman. Ricci is charged in July of 2002 of 1 count of theft related to the Smart incident.
05/30/02	Thursday	~ Ricci returns to pick up his Jeep at the auto repair shop before the shop has a chance to fully fix it He tells the repairman that it needed for an emergency.
06/04/02	Tuesday	~ Ricci is at work from about 9am to 5:30pm ~ Ricci claims he spends the evening with friends
06/05/02	Wednesday	~ 1:05am - 2 cars are spotted on the SLC Shriner's Hospital Parking Lot by a hospital security guard, two blocks from the Smart residence ~ 1:30am (approx) - Elizabeth is kidnapped from her home ~ 1:30am - Ricci claims to be in bed asleep with his with wife. ~ Ricci is scheduled to be off work all day today. ~ 7:21am - Rachel/Amber alert is issued and national media is involved. ~ 8:30am - Ricci and his neighbor talk about the kidnapping of Elizabeth, Ricci seems to know too much information about it. ~ Sometime during this day Ricci is visited by police in regards to Elizabeth's kidnapping as reported by Angela Ricci (Richard A. Ricci's Wife which is an ex-convict herself) ~ Ricci is seen by his neighbor digging a hole by his (Ricci's) trailer early in the morning. (heard the neighbor say this on TV)
06/06/02	Thursday	~ Ricci is scheduled to work from 9am to 5:30pm today, but instead works from 10:30am to 7:00pm ~ Police talk to Ricci this day about the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping. (The media is reporting this, so it could be wrong)
06/08/02	Saturday	~ Ricci returns the Jeep to the repair shop to get it fixed. The Jeep is muddy and the repair shop owner sees Ricci remove seat covers from the back of the jeep and place them into a plastic garbage bag that already contains other stuff in it. Also the repair shop owner said a muddy post hole digger was in the back of the Jeep, Ricci removes this also. Ricci has a man waiting across the street to give him a ride. Ricci takes the plastic bag and contents along with the post hole digger with him. Also there is 500 to 1000 extra miles on the Jeep since Ricci picked it up on May 30th, 2002.
06/14/02	Friday	~ Ricci is taken into custody for a parole violation, this being drinking while on parole and association with other ex-cons.
07/11/02	Thursday	Formal charges are filed against Ricci (2 counts of theft & 1 count of burglary) on the theft & burglary of the Smart neighbors home which occurred in April 2001, and 1 more count of theft for stealing from the Smart home on June 6th, 2001.

I don't know anything about your views. We would all love to see Elizabeth walk back into her home and I hope I'm very pleasantly surpised and this happens.

Mary Katherine heard the abductor speak as the man took Elizabeth from the Smart house at gunpoint June 5. The 9-year-old was lying in the same bed as her older sister but feigned sleep as the kidnapping occurred. While the girl recognized the voice, she couldn't link the voice to a specific person, family spokesman Chris Thomas said. "The voice was familiar to her," Thomas said. If Mary Katherine could have identified the person belonging to the familiar voice, that person would be charged, Thomas said. Neither police nor the family have said whether Mary Katherine has heard Richard Ricci's voice since the abduction. "I don't know if she has," Thomas said. "That would be a question that law enforcement would have to answer."

It would seem they're trying to flush out something with these statements, they're working on somebody. Wasn't it reported MK listened to a voice lineup of Ricci, Young, & Remington? If so, this would indicate it wasn't Ricci that took Elizabeth out of the house, which is what I believe. Not that I don't think he's up to his hairline in this though.

It seems like LE has been "working on somebody" since the very beginning. Either that, or they got their training with the Wash DC PD.

I do feel, however, that they have a pretty good idea of what happened to Elizabeth and who all's involved. I just hope her kidnapper(s) haven't spooked and killed her!

If you will notice, Mr Serlock, I have never, ever, stated WHO I thought did this. WHY they did it, nor HOW they did it. HAVE YOU?Do you want me to post how YOU have done that? And can you tell us just HOW you can do THAT...with no facts,. but I , and other's cannot take DIRECT QUOTES from transcripts, and question the validity of them?

I know what it feels like Mr., and I know how a heart aches. I know what it is like to have this pretty girl gone..and go to bed at night and cry until nothing comes out. I know what it is like to ache for her so damn bad, and yet have to pick up my baby boy at the same time, and walk the floors with him cause he is sick, Plus care for 4 little ones besides..and all I can think of is my little girl is dead. I know what it feels like to have days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months..SIX MONTHS is an eternity when your child of 14 is somewhere out there.!

My little 14 yr. old was found, she was 14, barefoot and starving in Vegas, and the package also included SHE WAS PREGNANT !. DEAL WITH THAT MR. SHERLOCK, when you don't know who you are calling someone who is intoxicated with hatred of the Ed Smart family.

I am sorry, I had no intention to type these words, but I get very incensed when I am falsly accused, because, Sherlock, you may think you sound good, BUT YOU DON'T. You have no idea the people who are reading you, nor the pain some of us in our lives have had to face. So you try to watch your blanket statements.

I may be all wrong in how I believe, and you may be all wrong in what you think...but neither YOU nor I have one iota of facts, and basically none of us has a right to base the conclusion of this case on the piddly information we have been given.

If a person has the right perspective, it's a simple matter for him to ask the right questions to get to the truth in any matter. But if a person has skewed perspective, no amount of presentation of facts or knowledge will save him from the resultant folly of his viewpoints

Let me ask you, Sherlock, do you have the right perspective? or do you have a skewed perspective? Who is doing the determination on that? You ? I will take what has been told in documented interviews, press conferences, t.v. programs with interviews, and ask what I think are logical, common sense questions. Will you? I will continue to do so. Why? Because, dear one, I know what this feels like.

To those reading this, I apologise for this long rant. But I believe in Free Republic, and I believe we are a pretty good group of people with all our foibles, and being just people of different ways of seeing things. I am not a person to lay out my private life on a message board..but THIS HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH. If you go back and read these posts, you will find one group accusing another group, and it has continued throughout this running thread. This thread is a comfort to come to and to share ideas and ask questions and talk together, yet I have been accused when I speak of sounding like "A fairy tale"..For what reason?

I wish I could have written a long piece, with a soft voice, with compassion, on what it feels like to have a missing child. I think I could benefit others by doing so, and I could just cry that I missed my opportunity, because Sherlock upset me to the core about slndering me and other's with his vile mouth. I am sorry for that.

Sherlock, I extend my hand out to you and ask you to join a group of people who would rather meet together and talk...not meet together to get attacked. I hope you join me. I think we could have good discussions.

Apparently this hasn't been the only missing person case in Utah nor has it been the first missing mormon person according to the mormon boards, has it. I don't recall anyone slandering the religion with unsubstantiated innuendo since there are people here who don't have knowledge of the mormon faith and will search the mormon boards for info. I remember someone posting information from a mormon board and stating when it was posted something to the effect of who better to go to for finding the info than from the mormon board itself, which brought criticisms from some of the mormon people on this board. Yes, UtahGirl has explained what her beliefs are, however, it appears that others on the mormon boards have different opinions than what UtahGirl's are. So, what can I say. If you read other boards, you will find that the questions presented on this board are no different than what other boards have discussed maturely, and those boards weren't censored, which IS interesting. If you read the many threads on FR regarding the catholic pedophile priests, I don't recall anyone bashing any posters there, and I'm certain there are many catholics on FR AND many on those threads. It's a shame that people of the same faith as the Smart's take any conversation here personally. One faith isn't above any other faith, and one person isn't above any other person, unless they think differently.

People nationwide and worldwide are aware of this high profile case and there are theories posted on every board in every language. If you're interested in reading those, you can use an online translator. I and some others have copied every daily thread from the beginning, including the censored posts before & after they were censored. As you're aware, anyone can read any of these threads on FR without becoming a member, and as you've probably read that some people and myself have been accused a couple times of having Lizzie from one of your mormon friends which is unwarrantable.

I hope you two are right. I can't imagine LE doesn't know who kidnapped Elizabeth. I was very skeptical about why they hadn't been arrested the kidnapper until Boylan supported their tactics recently. Since she came in they appear to be showing more interest in solving this. I sure hope you're right about it being possible Elizabeth is alive but I haven't really thought so for a long time.

Sorry about what you went through, Neenah. I'm glad you found her. I hope the Smarts find Elizabeth. I fear that's not going to happen for them and I cannot fathom they are responsible for her disappearing. And I cannot fathom the way people try to exonerate Mr. Ricci. I have my opinion, and we'll have to just agree to disagree.

I hope it is now agreed that, those of us who do not believe Ricci is the main villian in Elizabeth's disappearance, are not attacking the Smarts or LDS religion out of hatred. We ALL want Elizabeth safely back, & the kidnapper brought to justice.

That means, as Catholics (pedophila) & Baptists (Anderson bookkeeping) have had to take criticism of their religious preferences, so must LDS members - if it turns out there has been evidence concealed - a cover up.

exactly....MK could have pointed out Ricci right away and the cops should have had him tailed night and day...if they thought he did it...

but remember...Boylan said that there was second guessing about MK .....what was second guessed?

What if Ricci KNEW that MK saw him?...do you remeber how he said that he knew he would be a suspect?

but the only thing is....did he have time to do all that plus bury or hide Lizzie?....we know that at least Tinker bell Thurber saw him early that morning...

so I am still on the fence with this case....until the cops show their hand(hopefully, they have one__) I can't project who will ultimately be found to be the perp....
