Oh duke, you just made me laugh! Guess Jackie is getting along well with the new master?
To: OneidaM
Well, then, my dear, I'll just have to put that on my prayer list for you. Let "her" overcome her opinion of you.

"70 degrees and they have on the AC" I had mine on yesterday! I guess this is what we get for purposly spraying the CFC's in the air when it's 50 below in the wintertime! LOL
To: Northern Yankee
LOL! Have you see the story about the pizza dough truck out by Chippewa Falls that apparently tipped over or was hit or something?
Pizza dough all over the road..........and because it's so hot, it's starting to rise!!!!!!
They're having a heck of a time trying to clean it up.:)

I was thinking Boar goats, but just not sure right now. I understand they get into everything and can get their heads into places that look impossible to do so. I went pricing of the materials today, not too bad, and at the farm store, a lot cheaper than the discount stores, Lowes, etc. The man at the store told me to come by when I got ready and he would make a list of everything I needed to put the fence up. I feel better now but one question, how far apart should the metal post be when I get ready to plant them.
To: Bitwhacker
It's fun. That's as far as I'll go.

Let me tell you a story about one little boy I watched. Oh, he was a cute little 3 year old...he was. The first day I thought I would read him a book before I tried to put him down for a nap. I placed him on my lap and started to read Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too. Before I could finish the first paragraph...he punched me in the stomach. Caught me right off guard... he did.
About 6 months later, Hubby was working on something around the house. Hubby put a screwdriver down for ONE second.....the same boy snatched it right up and stabbed Hubby in the arm. No serious injury.
The same boy put a hole in the playroom wall with his fist....spilled gallons of water from the aquarium because all of a sudden he decided to smack it with both is fists. He was a handful.
By the second year my disciplinary actions and consistency started to pay off. He knew that the rewards were plentiful if he behaved. He turned into a well behaved, happy boy.
Soon after, he went to kindergarten where the public school system put him a ritalin(sp)...I was furious!!! After all his improvements throughout the years....they drug this child. I'm upset...still.

I still haven't reached for my tin foil hat on this kidnapping story.
Kids these days are not taught self-reliance ...... to look out for themselves ..... they are not taught to think, to solve problems ...... they are very much spectators. They don't play cops and robbers (or cowboys and Indians) in the neighborhood where the bad guy sneaks up behind them and they learn to react. I think this just caught them totally unprepared ...... had never even invisioned something like this in their wildest dreams. Video games, tv, and computers have given us a generation that is accustomed to watching action but not doing things. [Certainly that doesn't apply to all kids but to far too many].
I did see a retired FBI guy on FOX a few minutes ago and he watched the video of the two guys when the media stuck cameras in their faces ...... the FBI guy said it wouldn't surprise him if the guys were "on" something and might not even know what had happened. He was careful to say that was pure speculation but they seemed kind of spaced-out to him.
Prayers for the families of those poor girls! I just can't imagine being in their shoes!

I could rant for days about your #235, lysie. These days we are doping our kids up instead of teaching them self-control and discipline ...... and then wonder why they get "spaced-out" in their teens ....... so sad! Soooo sad!
