AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 557) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | July 31, 2002 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Senator LIEberman, apparently the best the people of the State of Connecticut could send to Congress, said he would call former Treasury Secretary Rubin to testify before his Committee, "if he could shed light on the Enron collapse."

Meanwhile, the Justice Department has opened a probe into the accounting practices of AOL.

For accepting gifts from a businessman he then assisted, Senator Torricelli was "severely admonished." For those not familiar with the process, that means the Torch was told he was a very bad boy and shouldn't do that again.

Secretary Rumsfeld says airstrikes alone will not get the job done as far as removing Iraqi WMDs are concerned. He said that because of spys providing information to the Russians (he didn't mention by name, but Hansen comes to mind) that was then passed to other nations for a fee, the Iraqis now know how we look for things and can hide their activities all the better.

Other US officials promised Congress there would be no "October Surprise," saying it would take until early next year to finish preparations for war against Iraq.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Chair, been giving this rescue a lot of thought and whoever put the X on the ground for the drilling to start did a wonderful job, think about it, X here, drill here and it was right on the money.

Now, the miners are safe and thanks be to God they are, and the question of the day. There are two drill holes, 240' deep, what to do with those holes. I have the solution, build a 'outhouse' over them. Think about it, no need to ever dig the outhouse hole ever again. Some poor ole elderly citizen up there would be forever grateful.

The Daily Update – July 31, 2002

REMEMBER THE TRADE CENTER!!

AMERICA’S WAR ON TERROR – Day 324

The news as reported in The Washington Times:

[Note – All links go to The Washington Times’ website.]

1. Warning there will be “no more easy money for corporate criminals, just hard time,” the President signed an accounting fraud bill that stiffens penalties for that sort of activity.

[Soon, we will be hearing it is the exact legislation the UOx42 sought but was denied because of those rascally Republicans.]

Bush signs business fraud bill

2. Senator LIEberman will subpoena former Treasury Secretary Rubin if the Senator believes that Rubin can shed light on what happened with Enron.

[Another non-answer from a demonflop. Of course, LIEberman will not make such a determination, despite already available public evidence that overwhelmingly shows Secretary Rubin’s complicity.]

Lieberman willing to subpoena Rubin

3. Despite being cleared of any wrongdoing in Tailhook on four separate occasions, the UOx42 Administration refused to promote Cdr Stumpf. The current Administration has decided to remedy the injustice and show Stumpf retired as a Captain.

[Excellent.]

Tailhook scandal 'injustice' righted

4. Algore, saying there was a “scheduling conflict,” snubbed an appearance before the Democratic Leadership Council.

[Hmmm…]

Gore sends his regrets to DLC

5. An election ruling denied Williams the opportunity to run as a demonflop in the District primary for Mayor next month – he is seeking an appeal and organizing a write-in in the event the appeal doesn’t work.

[Keep in mind, this is all occurring because Williams’ organization is so shoddily run they couldn’t get the necessary petition signatures in time – which is an easy hurdle in DC. These are the same folks that want four more years to run the city.]

Williams files appeal to run as Democrat

6. Improper track maintenance is being probed as the cause of the recent derailment in Kensington, Maryland.

[Some reports are saying the train engineer saw the tracks out of alignment, but couldn’t stop the train in time.]

Improper maintenance probed as derailment factor

7. Despite a Federal law requiring them to do so, the District has yet to notify parents of 12 low-performing schools under the school choice program, even though school starts in one month.

[Typical DC politics. Don’t like a program, just don’t talk about it.]

D.C. parents lack school choice notice

We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

Oh Guenie, you poor thing. It is so frustrating isn't it? My folks are just like 2 children. They must be watched all the time. Thank God for my s-i-l. She checks in on them daily. And if they are't there, she tracks them down. :)

How badly did you guys get hit last night? We had high winds and lots of lightning and heavy rain but no hail. There were tornado warnings just north of us. Haven't been out yet this morning but there appear to be lots of branches down, etc.

You are given about 35 work days of sick leave per year..you can also tho take leave without pay, or even use your vacation days for leave too if you like and you get the same amount of vacation (or annual leave) days as you do sick leave.

You really can only do as much as you CAN..and the REST is up to them....lately Mom has been falling asleep at night before taking her insulin shot(She takes it at 11pm)...I have tried all measures to get her to wake herself up to take it...but it isn't working...I told her to call her Dr and see if she can't switch to taking it in the morning instead.

He's off in some universe "where no man has gone before." It will be a while before he gets back. He's flying with Kirk.
