Well heck...it probably wasn't meant to be. Maybe he had an emergency call, you know, and had to run off and save someone...like they do on TV?? Yeh, I bet that's what happened.(?)

Hey Val - scrap that nerd. sheesh. Changing the subject here for a minute - I guess the bullsheet has started. The front pages of both our local papers today show the RCMP carrying out all the rifles and handguns from a long standing locally owned (family) business - sports store. Says the guns were "improperly stored"! The paper quoted a customer saying "but they were all chained up"! I guess they are going to start finding phony reasons to begin the confiscation of firearms because the majority of people will NOT register them. I feel terrible about this store. I wish I could post the cover pages of both papers. Shows the RCMP loading rifles into a van on one, and on the other it shows a big woman cop with a rifle in each hand coming out of the store. The editor and my fellow Kelowna citizens are gonna read a scathing letter to the editor from me at least. I am, whatelse - outraged!

About our age - lol Yikes! True, but Yikes anyway.

I used to see him in person every year in Elko, Nevada at Cowboy Poetry. He always put on a great show. His early albums up through "I Outgrew the Wagon" were (are) classics.

I think because so many people are not complying with registration that they are going to start finding phony reasons to snatch the known ones to begin with. What's more handy than a sporting goods store? People will have to bury everything they have or come up with some other innovative hiding place. Chretien sold this country out to the United Nothing long ago. The same as Clinton tried to do to you before he left office. I'm still of the opinion that Clinton wants Koffi Annans job!
