""m sorry to hear bout the job, Nully.....will keep my fingers crossed that another one crosses your threshhold IMMEDIATELY!" Well, there is that chocolate tasting job.

Y'all have had problems with mountain lions in your part of CA, too....haven't you....seems like there was a lady hiker or jogger that a lion thought was extra yummy in the not so distant past.
We had a 5 year old child drug out of their back yard at Evaro, just north of Missoula, MT...killed the little boy.
They found mountain lions sleeping in the starlight basement window casings of several homes....... There were mountain lions walking about in daylight on Mt. Sentinel above the University of Montana.
I have a friend who is a professional trapper over there and works with F & G with lions--he has some hounds he uses with them. The year I lost a lamb to one, a neighbor's horse got clawed, and north of where I lived there were over 20 sheep killed...Jeff said he had been after a female and came across 4 little cubs. They aren't allowed to take lactating females....this was 2 years before we had all these losses. Up where the fella lost the 20+ sheep, there was a ravine across the Clark Fork River, where the federal hunters found 5 grown lions....the old female, a 3 - 4 year old male, and 2 - 3 two year olds!! Yet, they are supposed to be solitary animals and need habitat with somehting like a 150 mile radius in which each lives.

I caught a TV special a couple of years ago about lions in the S.California area...and I have to admit it, I cracked up when a lady was interviewed and she was telling about how she had moved out to the burbs to be "one with nature" but hadn't counted on seeing Fifi, her beloved poodle being carried out of the yard in a big lion's mouth. Apparently lions hang around the burbs because of the swimming pools...they are the only water source during the dry summeer months. Then of course, there is the occasional french food.

Where's Mo? I was going to check in a couple of nights ago but after reading about her computer woes and the rant she was in,...I went to bed.

We have good friends up Carmen Creek who guide lion hunts. They do quite well as there are a bunch of cats in the area and have been for some time. Just look at the place names in the area: Cougar Point, Panther Creek, Cat Creek...and more...I just can't remember them...three can be a lot.

Would I dare try for a Prime Time Funkel???? Heck no, not me.

See post #706.

Nice funkle! Very smooth and completely legitimate. Nully will probably BECOME that green mammal he is so corned about.
To: ValerieUSA
He doesn't have a sitter for the 9 yr old yet. It's iffy. Watch out for the Madera...recall the old Limelighters' song...Have some Madera my dear? It's ever so much better than beer. It's a song of seduction...Yikes!

I wonder how many presidents in history have been so ridiculed after they left office? I love it!
To: sweetliberty
Nully is the king of the funkles...we lesser funklers can only admire.
To: Cuttnhorse
It is his legacy; granted, probably not the one he was looking for, but you reap what you sow.
