Just call me Dr. Dee...at the ranch we had in Montana, that's what the neighbors called me--I got to play 'vet'to lots of critters. At one time, I wanted to be a vet's technician, so this sort of stuff made me happy.

Hay all,

It is really late...11:31 Pm Cal time.

Just want to let you know I got all your wonderful messages of consolation and encouragement and I have printed them all out and am going to put them with Nacho's things. It has been a rough time losing Nacho in the way that it happened...things were going along pretty well and then wham...everything went to hell in a handbasket. I hope the vet will take the time to do a postmortem and see if she can learn anytnhing new for her benefit in treating other pets who may present with reading like Nacho did yet was asymptomatic.. Things are getting better...I miss the little guy and can't get the last few days and hours out of my mind's eye. but my other boys need special attention now. YumYum who got along with Nacho is looking all over for him. Taco who has never been alone in his basket is having to get used to sleeping alone at least for now...Brought Taco in when Yummie was out and he sat on Yummies bed. Yummie did not like that..he can smell the new scent but can't find Taco...And apart from that Yummie and Taco have not been eating too well..but I think that is getting better. If anyone out there has any suggestions on how to introduce these to boys ( My hope is that they would be friends) I would love to hear how to manage this....

I am really beat..will try to talk to you tomorrow...Ozzie is off to hunt for the Yellow metal and so I can have time to myself. Talk to you then.

There are some laws you just think wouldnt be necessary. Rape kits for animals!? .... I'm just glad they have counseling for the human offenders (blame the victim!)

Good morning gang,

Just a quick note, am in Peru in an area they call the Alps of Peru...spectacular part of the Andes with many peaks over 20,000. Lots of tourists down here this time of year...all hiking and climbing. Check you atlas and look for Huaraz, north of Lima. The highest peak in Peru, Huascaran, 22,200 feet, and the second highest peak in the western hemisphere is right out my office window. Nice place to work.
