Judge William D. Mudd admonishes the media about attempts to photograph Neal Westerfield, son of defendant David Westerfield, as the son left the courtroom during a break in his testimony Wednesday afternoon, July 24, 2002, in San Diego. The judge had ordered the media not to film the teen. David Westerfield is accused of the kidnapping and murder of 7-year old Danielle van Dam from her home in February. (AP Photo/Pool, Dan Trevan) |

So far all I've seen is flames, flames and more flames. Especially when you're the one holding the flamethrower, right? Don't like the criticism? Then stop treating the murder of a child like a frat party.

I see you haven't learned the rules of the Westerfield threads.
1.While every other part of FR belongs to JR, th DW threads belong to Frezzzz and his groupies.
2.Independent thought leads to severe flaming.
3.All discussion of evidence presented in the trial is called Van Dam apologia...
4.All speculation of guilt of the parents, the police, or anyone BUT David Westerfield is taken as gospel truth.
I'm sure I can think of more.

Only problem is, if my memory serves me correct, I counted six uniform abrasions in this semi-circle. Where did you get the illustration from?
To: spectre
Due to excessive Threadjackal activity, this thread will self destruct in T-Minus 1 minute, and counting....60,59,58......
To: FresnoDA
Let the thread hi-jackels have it, Fres..They aren't worth responding to. So sad.

Here we have a known child sexual predator (charged with 5 or more counts)Do we have any more knowlege of his background? Has he ever been convicted of a sexual assault or crime yet? Are there other murders of young girls in this area that have the same aspects of Samantha and DVD's.
IE. meathod of approach, body found nude, victim killed soon after abduction, body possibly posed, or choice of location to drop body?
There are alot of similarities in the two deaths, or should I say, there seem to be aspects of the offender's behavior during the crimes that are similar.
I would be interested in knowing what Avila was doing the night DVD disappeared but you can't rule this guy Rowland out of DVD's death either. So what type of offender is this one...only time will tell.

Ok, I thought the top mark looked like one fingernail could have dug in, & scratched...it's not as clean cut as the other ones.
I have a copy on my webpage...what do you think? (geocities won't let me post their pics on fr..they'll make the pic nonfunctional..)

(whispers) Actually, they belong to me. I've got the pink slip and everything. I'm letting them run around in here - it keeps them out of the adult's hair in other, more substantive threads.
2.Independent thought leads to severe flaming.
Over in Usenet, we'd call the so-called "flames" I've been seeing over here "dragon queefs." Autoflames, neener-neeners, "so's yer ma" attacks ... Usenet sees stronger stuff in alt.kiddie.istillweartrainingpantstomycollegeclasses every day.
Thanks for the advice. It'll be fun to watch the histrionics in here when they hang the guilty SOB. I've love to be the one with the Kleenex concession 'round here.

Hi Bluebird:
I saw it too. I called them (DW's arm marks) an arc, but I agree it looks like a semicircle. Looks almost like a metric tool must of made those evenly spaced impressions. I just don't know enough about mechanic's tools to fit it in with anything I can relate it to. One poster suggested a chain. What about some kind of bike chain-you know the kind- with brads and holes that fit into bike wheel sprockets. -I'm just wondering-

Thanks for the pictures. That's what I remember seeing before.
The abrasions are so uniform, they don't look like fingernail scratches to me. Couldn't be a bite mark because there would have to be an opposing set of marks. Do we know what Westerfield says about them?

Thank you!
