Well.........LOL.....yesterday, hubby & I made it through finalizing most of our vacation plans!!.....(& were still speaking to each other at the end of the day :)

We've got cheapie tickets to Boston......then renting a car to drive to Maine.....

...we'll stay in Kennebunkport one night...(hope to get to Walker's Point)...and then on tothe coast of Maine.

We'll stay there....

...then take a ferry to Nova Scotia.

Even as I type, we're waiting confirmation from a gentleman on Prince Edward Island as to whether we can have this cottage on the beach.
(someone else had bid on it the day before, but it wasn't definite)

As we drive through Halifax, I hope to stop at their museum....

...Halifax is where the poor souls from the Titanic were brought.... identified.... and many of them burried there, in 3 different cemetaries.

My s-i-l says I have to visit it for her sake, cause she saw it on National Georgraphic....

...but I read all about it too, so want to see it.

Your trip sounds wonderful and exciting. I've never been to the east coast of Canada. I'm glad you and King Arthur are still talking......I couldn't stand not talking...I even talk to Beanie when no one else is around.

Hey, Small world I was just up in Halifax 2 weeks ago. I was at that cemetary. It is very interesting up there. Make sure that you learn about the Halifax explosion. I learned why the people from Halifax every year send the people of Boston a great Christmas tree. It was foggy there on the day I visited. I tend to not sleep much. At 6:30 a.m. (5:30 Boston time)I walked up the hill to this great fort built by the British called The Citadel. It reminded me of another great fort on a hill that I visited on St. Kitts in the Carribean (Radix gets around). Halifax is great and all of N.S. is too. I had lunch in a town called Shelburne. it was little hole in the wall, awesome fish chowder. Also there is a newly established site, sort of like Plymouth Plantation that is Musee' Historique de les Accadeans. I forget the name of the town, but I learned about the Odyssey of the Accadiens, and how they were the original Cajuns. All sorts of fascinating stuff up there. Also I know a terrific place to stay in Yarmouth. LoL, I can`t recall the name just now, but the food was great, prices unbelievable, and friendly staff. A`s all around.

Sounds wonderful, Guennie.

Our big vacation is a 4-day weekend in Minneapolis, visiting my mom. We leave Friday a.m.

For the first time EVER hubby & I will be making the trip alone (other than once or twice when girlchild was going to school there and was in "crisis" mode and we had to go pick her up) so it really will be kind of fun, I think. All the kids are working and don't want to take any time off; got to make those big $$$$, ya know.:) So it'll be just the two of us.:)
