Hey, Small world I was just up in Halifax 2 weeks ago. I was at that cemetary. It is very interesting up there. Make sure that you learn about the Halifax explosion. I learned why the people from Halifax every year send the people of Boston a great Christmas tree. It was foggy there on the day I visited. I tend to not sleep much. At 6:30 a.m. (5:30 Boston time)I walked up the hill to this great fort built by the British called The Citadel. It reminded me of another great fort on a hill that I visited on St. Kitts in the Carribean (Radix gets around). Halifax is great and all of N.S. is too. I had lunch in a town called Shelburne. it was little hole in the wall, awesome fish chowder. Also there is a newly established site, sort of like Plymouth Plantation that is Musee' Historique de les Accadeans. I forget the name of the town, but I learned about the Odyssey of the Accadiens, and how they were the original Cajuns. All sorts of fascinating stuff up there. Also I know a terrific place to stay in Yarmouth. LoL, I can`t recall the name just now, but the food was great, prices unbelievable, and friendly staff. A`s all around.

I do not want to overdo the links. But you may find some interesting things here. I cannot find a link for the museum that I was talking about, but a search of this place in La. may help to provide a lead.

There is an absolute goldmine of info on this Thread!!!

Please send me a FReepmail or just post where you stayed in Yarmouth, if you don't mind.

Also, where exactly is the Titanic museum, or whatever it's called there.

Thanks for the excellent ideas..!!!!

I love out of the way places for good food.

Thanks Radix.....knowing you've just come back from there is so cool!
