Looks like things are getting quiet and I am bushed so I think I'll call it a day. Nite everyone. Nite Nully, flash, Darlin, ringy, Wingy, Val, Rowdee, OCC, Mo and all the rest. The coffee pot is on for the morning so just help yourself..sugar for those that want that, Splenda for those who want the artificial sweetner, half and half or flavored coffee mate ( fat free) in the fridge. Oj, cranraspberry or cranblackberry juices in the fidge too. anyone want eggs..got lots and there is toast and jam..whatever you like except Oatmeal!

Y'all the local authorities finally held a joint press conference this morning to discuss the recent murders here. Police dept, Sheriff's office, Mayor, State Police, FBI, local, state DA's and the U.S Attorney.

Basically, they said they have no suspects and have only been able to definately connect two of the victims to the same DNA at this time. Those two women were killed 8 months apart and were two of the three women who lived on the same street at one time. Although one of them no longer lived there at the time of her death.

They said they had some leads but refused to discuss them for fear of alerting the killer or killers. All of the cases, 10 since 2000, have several similarites but that some of them are not similar enough to feel all 10 are connected. They are still not using the term "serial killings" but they are about the only ones who are not. They're very frustrated with the lack of results and that all have happened in some of our best and safest neighborhoods. Areas that are relatively free of any sort of serious crime. We are urged to be calm but cautioned to be extra careful, a special tip line has been set up for any information we think we might have no matter how insignificant it may seem. They recieved about 150 calls today. It's no big surprise to learn some gun stores are selling out and that sales to women have increased 200%. The police department has been conducting half-day safety and self protection seminars all over the city and will continue them for the next month.

Tonight on the news they interviewed a profiler who said she thought the killer was a white male, between 25-40 and well-educated. She said that he was probably well spoken and did not seem to pose a thread to his victims who have been bright, friendly, professional women.

The serial killer in your town probably enjoys the challenge of pursuing prey that is a bit more difficult to catch than hookers on the street or little children... it's a game for him. A true predator.
