Sorry to see you leave the homeland horsie...
Chile has been fairly free from earthquakes while you were gone. I guess they can start up again now, eh? *L*

Hi Val,
Yep, had a 5.3 yesterday as a sort of welcome back shaker. Sure didn't miss the drizzle and people down here.
To: Cuttnhorse
Oh sheeeesh! It did quake just for you? *L* How special.

Got to ride my ace cow horse in a big team-sorting event in Sun Valley, Idaho...didn't win a nickel but had a really fun time. Speaking of horses, just finished one of the neatest all-time great books, and it just happens to be a book about horses. I highly recommend Seabisquit, An American Legend, by Laura Hillenbrand. Hillenbrand manages to capture the heart of the horse as well as anyone has ever written. Great story about the owners, jockeys, and life in America during the 30's, one of my top favorite books. What an incredible horse!!

Welcome home. Glad you got home safely after a wonderful visit to the US. I agree..Rowdee is a neat gal. She has been so helpful to me with the troubles I have had with my little Nacho the cat..he is hanging tough..

Hi Celtic,
She is a great lady...has a really cool three-legged border collie, which reminded me of a rotty that we had to amputate a leg due to cancer.
I recommend making an attempt to meet your fellow Freepers...I felt like I had known Rowdee for years.
To: celtic gal
Got to feed the Rotties....when it's time for their dinner, they're a little difficult to ignore.
To: Cuttnhorse
Oh she has told me all about her wonderful boarder collie. Rowdee was enormous help in pointing me to websites to help me deal with my kitty that has just been found to have kidney failure, and hypertension and hypothyroid problems. Poor little Nacho is such a good little trooper about the fluids but he has troubles with the food..he hates the low protein stuff.

where did we all go?
To: celtic gal
Hi, CG. I'm cooking dinner, will have to go soon. I'll check back later. I'm sorry to hear about Nacho, it's touch to have a cat with "special needs". I'm trying to figure out how to move our little tabby, Baby. She was a feral kitten, and just goes wild when we try to put her in a kitty carrier. I called the vet, and she approved a tranquilizer. Next trick will be getting it down her gullet. Oh joy.

Hiya, Cuttnhorse....
I was trying to remember when you said you'd be back in Chile....am glad I swung by FR to see if you were posting yet.
Thank you for your nice words.....I really did enjoy our visit, as well....just felt like I already knew you both.
I'm sure The Ratty One would be terrific to meet also....LOL....that's a hoot--to think one would look forward to meeting a ratt!!
We had a thunderboomber this afternoon....and for about 5 minutes it rained like the devil! Its been so h-o-t-!!! This is a little relief.
Got my new key ignition part for the mower finally, so that's tomorrow's challenge! :)

If the tranquilizer is a pill, simply grind it up with one of those pill grinders. Then use a little of her favorite soft food and put it in there. For my little Missie I have to use babyfood as she LOVES it and that is how I get meds down her. Then once you get her to your new house, you must keep her indoors for two weeks so that she gets it into her little kitty kat noggin that this is home NOW...she will do ok. Better yet. if you can have her as an all the time indoor cat she will be much healthier in the long term. good luck...

Well I wondered and wondered what kind of little furry creature covered Jimmy's head. Now we know. And when he goes to prison for ever how long it will be, he will have company in his cell.
Scoundrel he may be but I'll miss his colorful " Beam Me Up" messages. I hope he sings loud and clear about all the creeps and crooks in congress...maybe that will be his greatest service to the country.the ability to have a good house cleaning in DC.
