You did good, cg. It's important to be aware of your surroundings and be alert to anything or anyone that looks out of place. Paying attention goes a long way toward keeping you safe! That, and a nice little .45 auto.

My kids claim that, too... their books are just a waste of time for the most part.

Yeah, it's coming right up, and I am sooooo ready to get out of this place, the walls are closing in. We'll have about 2 1/2 times the square footage we have here, plus a yard. I'd start moving yesterday if I could...
Escrow is scheduled to close on Aug. 1. We've been signing a lot of papers...

The four Pakistani sailors who jumped ship in Louisiana and were hiding out in a motel in Waco were assumed to be Mexicans by the motel owner.I'm guessing someone who lives in Waco, Texas *might* have a little experience with real Mexicans...

Packing tip - I used clear plastic leaf bags to pack most of my clothes and linens.. you can see whats in them and use them as padding for fragile items such as tv's and computers.

Oh I still remember all those papers and don't miss them either
It will be great when you move in and start planning on things to do with the place
Just pace yourself .. I use to give the hubby a heart attack whenever I mentioned I wanted to do something .. lol

" are you afraid to say freek/fruck?"
try this as fast as you can:
I'm not a fig plucker nor a fig pluckers son,
But I'll pick figs til the fig plucker comes.
hehehehehehe

were assumed to be Mexicans by the motel owner. Was the owner Pakistani?

Good idea. I'm worried mostly about getting the TV out of here, it's big and heavy. I'm not overly worried about my computer - I can wrap the components in things like quilts, and put them in my car. We are only moving 5 miles.

You would think most motel housekeepers in Waco would know a (fellow) Mexican... but the guys wouldn't let housekeeping in. The Secret Service has gone through their rooms -- are not saying what they found....
