Hello all.... Mo, it's so strange. We have not hit triple digit heat here in Waco yet this summer - I remember a time when we had 30+ days of triple digit heat in a row (and I've only lived here less than 3 years) - We aren't even making it to the 90s that often with all this rain (though humidity gets there).

Same here, until now we've low 90's, afternoon rains and really high humidity. That seems to be changing this week. It is pretty hot out there today and the humidity is climbing too.

How horrible -- I thought it would be, and it just hurt to know it. In a way they are lucky the body was found so quickly. I hope it helps find the killer right away.

Something bothered me about the way the news media kept announcing the upcoming press conference about the discovered body -- there was not enough horror, I guess -- just almost a cheerful matter-of-factness about a little girl's corpse found in a remote area.

They ought to be. This is just so brazen, to grab her out of her front yard in daylight in front of witnesses. The guy is saying 'catch me if you can'. He will be very lucky to be taken alive.

I think the media needs to clear out of that girl's neighborhood and leave those people in peace for now instead of searching for TV-star wannabes for lame interviews. They look predatory themselves.

Let's see the brave bold investigative journalists haul their hineys and microphones to Hispanic neighborhoods and downtown porn palaces with sketches of the suspect and ask people there what they know, what they've seen.

I can just see this perp presenting himself to children as a news reporter, asking them if they heard about little Samantha and if they know to not talk to strangers as a ruse to abduct his next little victim.

A little girl has been kidnapped, raped and murdered by a stranger and now her neighborhood is FULL OF STRANGERS wanting to talk to children.

The police said he would probably strike again and all parents should keep their children with them till he is caught. Profilers think the guy is probably over the edge on a binge and will strike again soon. So9
