How are your plans for your western trip coming?? All of the macro level planning has been finished. I know where I am going to be each day, and appropriate reservations have already been made.
I'm working on some micro level material now - location of ATMs (done), location of McDonalds at breakfast time (done), what is available in the hotel area for dinner time (pending). (You may notice I'm not too big on not knowing where stuff is - I take full advantage of the Internet. 'Tis wonderful!)

Oh my goodness!
I just get in the car and go. It usually works out. If it doesn't, not to worry. I'll have a story to tell!

Oklahoma City has the Cowboy Hall of Fame. This is a good museum, with both artwork and artifacts.

Will you trade off driving? You are going to see some beautiful scenery.

Mr. Chair,
Should you happen to wind your way through Central Wisconsin, please stop by.
You'd be most welcome, and it would be an honor to meet you!

Chairman, you are driving across n. Ohio! Please, please consider stopping for a short bit off the turnpike, and I'll drive up there the few miles it is to meet you!

Chair, check on the Hoover Dam site. My cousin, (her daughter just got married in Las Vegas) just told my Dad that the dam is closed due to security reasons. he wanted to take a trip there while in Las Vegas.

A few suggestions on your return trip. If you have the time, the "Company Store" in La Cross is great. Also, the
"House on the Rock" in Spring Green, WI is an interesting place...if it is still there.

Woweee are you ever organized!!!! When Roomey and I travel we leave between 0400 and 0700, usually get out of the driveway right around 0730 or 0745. This is after a couple cups of coffee. We travel until around 1000 and start looking for breakfast. We have yet to make motel arrangements and have been lucky each evening, I don't always get my LaQuinta, but the ones we have slept in have been nice. Only one time did we get a motel, I know was full of disturbed spirits. It was a terrible place, I felt like I was smothering and kept getting creepy goose bumps. It looked like a really nice place, clean, well appoointed, but there was something there. We left that place around 0300 and wiped their dust from us.
Well School Gal and I have done as much as we can, for now, in the basement. Now we'll finish the two bedrooms and dust the living room.
Next I'll fry the onions, celery and beef/sausage mixture for the SOS on Sunday and freeze it. Then I'll do the stewed tomatoes and freeze it for Friday night. The squash casserole is already frozen, I forgot about it from another get together we had some time ago. lol These Senior Moments can sometimes be a blessing, I needed one more dish for Friday night, and happened to open the basement freezer, and lo and behold there stood that pretty squash casserole.
Talk to y'all later...bye
