Re: Men vs. Women post of a few minutes ago.
This was generating a huge response, which seems to indicate that it was an important topic.
Why isn't the reasoning for deletions made clear so that we know the ground rules better and can try and persuade the moderators when they seem to error?

Does a screenname that is not used for a certain amount of time deleted? Just wondering since this one person has created 3 so far.....I used a different e-mail address each time.

If you are presuming that no woman can ever be any man's peer, you are deluded. You jump to conclusions like Sergei Bubka jumps over Olympic records. Don't holler 'till you're hurt.

She is my culinary twin. I adore Nigella. She cooks real food.

Why do you ask? Because you're a troll and I wanted to see how you'd answer.

I don't think disagreement necessarily equals "attack".
Neither do I. Neither do a preponderance of us. Unfortunately, there are those to whom a disagreement - or even presentation of a contradictory (real or apparent) fact - equals a personal assault. And it is only too easy for folk like you and I to get into it with them before we realise we have been a) stooped to their level, or b) letting our own smarts take a catnap.
As said Frank Chodorov, so say I, wishing only that I lived up to it more consistently: Let them rant their heads off - that is their right, which we cannot afford to infringe - but let us keep from them the political means of depriving everybody else of the same right.

That's so true..
But what annoys me is that they aren't merely whining and complaining.. I can handle that.
It always comes around to them wanting someone else to modify their behavior because it hurts their feelings.
Of course, they have no such regard for anyone else. Their hypersensitive feelings are all that matter to them.
I guess you could compare it to the gays. A small but very vocal group that runs purely on emotion and promotes their liberties above yours, mine or those of anyone with whom they disagree.

Their hypersensitive feelings are all that matter to them.
And it is when they can translate them into particular rhetorical weaponry that catches you and I and others like us off guard, that is how we get ourselves suckered in. Usually, before we have caught on that we've been suckered in. That is the larger obstacle we have to surmount when trying to restore the civil discourse, even on the FREEP, though I notice only too many far better at that surmounting than I am, too many times...
