LOUD-MOUTHED literary lunkhead Gore Vidal calls President Bush a "mindless" clown who's destined to leave office as "the most unpopular president in history."

"Some people say they support Bush because he blew up all those funny-sounding cities," Vidal tells L.A. Weekly, "[but] that doesn't mean they like him. Mark my words . . . The junta has done too much damage." As for Bush's high approval rating, he snorts, "Don't you know how the polls are rigged?"

Oh.. so NOW the polls are rigged!

Vidal is also still fuming about the election, in which Bush defeated Vidal's distant cousin Al Gore, declaring, "The current junta in charge of our affairs [is] one not legally elected, but put in charge of us by the Supreme Court in the interests of the oil and gas and defense lobbies."

Related to algore? Now this all makes sense.

It has to go somewhere. I mean, really. It's got to be planted. Harold was running some errands and saw a man running down the middle of the street, naked, one shoe on, bloody mess. He'd been beated half to death. Harold wouldn't let him inside the truck, put him in the bed, haulded him to the police station. They called the medics. Been dealing with that. Someone had beaten the man with a shovel. Medics took him to the hospital. Guess I'm responsible for that. That's okay. Whatever. IT'S HOT.

Oh, that's terrible. The poor man and poor Harold. Is the man going to be alright ?

Apparently the landscape thieves are cheap contractors. They just steal what they need and it cuts down on their inventory, labor is the big overhead. LOL. They tell me that they usually have a crew of two or three people that rush into a yard and start digging up designated areas. They work fast then dump it all into the back of a truck and take off. Within a day or two it is replanted somewhere. Dangest thing I ever heard of. My neighbors were so sweet, they wanted to share their plants with me but it has gotten to hot now for me to fool with that mess again and besides, I'm still bummed out.
