Have you all heard about the move that is on to charge all us internet users 5cents for each delivered email and that we would get a bill via our ISP and the ISP would give all that dough to the postal service for a service they don't provide just because they are having a rough time now? I'll dig up the house NO. and get more to you on it.
To: celtic gal
Are you serious .. let them try it and folks will be screaming
Who is pulling that stunt ... McCain???

This bill I was talking about is Bill 602PP. The email I got about it says that a guy named Richard Stepp, a DC lawyer is working without pay to get this defeated. And to top it all off, some Repbulican named Tony Schnell thinks a 20 to 40 dollar per month surcharge on all internet service above and beyond the governments proposed email charges. The article goes on to say that the newpapers have ignored this story excpet the Washingtonian which called the idea of the email surcharge " a useful concept whose time has come"....Anyone else heard anything about this?
To: Mo1
I don't know who is the scheme is pushing this thing excpet maybe the postal service and it seems to have a few idiots who want to back it...
To: celtic gal

Anyone else heard anything about this? During the election, Dubya came out strongly against any tax of any kind on the Internet. Said the technology is too new and could be ruined by taxing at this point.
