Yes, Lisa. You need to call. We also bought a house, wrote the offer on Tuesday, it was accepted Wednesday evening. They were stalling hoping for more offers. Our agent pushed the issue, so they accepted it. Two more offers came in shortly after that. Escrow is scheduled to close on Aug. 1. Yay!

I have been negotiating with these sellers for weeks now. They brought their price down, kicking and screaming, but I got what I wanted.

Between trying to buy this house and work and getting ready to move I just have not had time to call you. Hopefully I can by the middle of August. Thanks for the invitation, that was so thoughtful of you.

Later in August would be good. I'll be busy unpacking. I'm not going to have much furniture for awhile, but oh well. The house is just great. The back yard borders on open space, and it is so quiet there. In this market, bidding up the properties is very common, so we did well. Didn't have to bid over the asking price. And, they are leaving the window coverings, for which I'm grateful. The living room drapes and master bedroom drapes are attractive and in good condition, so that's something I don't have to worry about. I may change them later, but it's nice not to have to deal with it immediately.
