For the record: Me, too ! As Rush pointed out earlier today, the market didn't start to fall after President Bush spoke to Wall Street. No, it started to drop hours afterwards when the democrats in Congress, their puppetmasters at the DNC and a liberal press jacked up the rhetoric and manufactured news. Congress can't find time to schedule hearings for needed appointments, they vow to hold up needed programs, they haven't done a thing about the budget but they can spend weeks searching for Martha Stewart's phone calls to her broker.

The bright yellow curb in this picture bothered me, so I changed it to a sepia tone:

Yep ... what better way to panic wall street but to tell them you'll pass bills to start policing them
Again .. I BLAME THE DNC for this mess

No, I only used the tripod for the fireworks pictures and a few pictures of the river -- I don't know if I posted any of the river ones yet - they were slightly crooked, so I have to work on them. I didn't have the tripod set up straight *duh*

Oh, the mansion in Dallas that burned this morning? I haven't heard who it belonged to. It was unoccupied and in the process of restoration (always dangerous for an older building - so many catch fire during renovation....)
To: ValerieUSA
Oh ok .. I didn't catch the whole thing MSNBC said but something about being in his neighborhood

Have you and the girls seen Ice Age? It's playing at the cheap theater down the street, I wonder if I want to go with Gabe, or stay home.

I think it was going to be put on the market after completion, I think the contractor owns it. Why, you in the market for a new house?

Again this happens! This is unfriggin'believable, and I hope the Fort Worth DA pursues this one. I don't believe these "oops, I forgot!" stories.
FORT WORTH - A 9-month-old boy died of heat exposure Tuesday after his mother forgot to drop him off at the baby sitter and inadvertently left him in her sport utility vehicle for five hours while she worked, police said.
To: ValerieUSA
Inadvertantly and forgot - these are big assumptions by the reporter. I wonder if mom got to work just on time or if she arrived with 15-20 minutes to spare -- time that would have been spent at the day care. Why do women have babies and then take them to strangers at day care centers to raise them? Just another toy to add to the collection? One that proves to be darn inconvenient and demanding when she's running late for her "career" goals?
To: ValerieUSA
There was a guy in Raleigh last year that forgot to drop off his child at daycare. Apparently the baby was asleep in the back seat and he went in to work. 8 hours later he came out an found the baby dead.

or she could have been running on days of near zero sleep and be totally fogged over...
