I found this on my Guild Recipe file. I think it's from LBGA. I need to try this soon, it looks scrumptious.
LUAU SAUCE:
2 - 4 /12 oz. jars baby food (apples or peaches)
1/3 cup catsup
1/3 cup vinegar
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp salt
dash of pepper
I parboil the ribs in the sauce and then baste them on the grill until they are tender. On the 4th of July
weekends, I feed multitudes with them and everyone comes back every year for my ribs. ;-)

I'm in pain. The men outdid themselves today. They went fishing last weekend and caught a mess of snapper and trout. So they set up the fryer on the back deck today and fried up the biggest pile of fish you ever saw. They BBQ'd ribs, too. And cheesy garlic grits. And salad and bread and.... I'll be back later. Got to lie on the couch for a while.
If you're home tonight, you might want to check out the George Washington special on PBS. Supposed to be terrific.

I have made the Luau sauce for other cuts of pork, as I'm not a real ribs fan - absolutely delicious!

That reads yummy.
For some reason, I've never acquired a taste for ribs.
I think it's cause the working and gnawing at them, exceeds the reward. But, there's others down here who'd slit your throat for a good rib platter.
