Looks like I can't form a complete thought today. What I meant to say was....I live in one of those master planned communities, so it's as if we are in a small town. Geeze, time to go take my vitamins or something.

Sorry to dampen your holiday spirit, but in the interest of disseminating information:

Bill Clinton will participate in an MTV special on HIV and Aids in Spain next weekend. The former US President will answer questions on the disease from young adults from more than 25 countries in Barcelona on July 11.

Staying Alive: A Global Forum will be shown worldwide, and on MTV in the UK and Ireland on July 13 at 11pm. Questions can be submitted via www.staying-alive.org, which will also webcast the programme. source

The poster boy for promiscuity will explain how it's the one sexually transmitted disease he's managed to avoid.

Bad timing on my part, admittedly. (I'm drooling over the thought of a Nathan's hot dog!). But then, when is a good time to bring up the globe-trotting rapist?

Hmmm, they did say we could submit questions. Go here to ask a question of the horndog.

Somehow I don't believe The Guild's question will see the light of day - I just don't. ;-)

It will be fun to send in our thoughts though. Let them know what we think of their choice of speaker, and his unique qualifications in this matter.

Happy Independence Day, everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic day with family and friends. Aggie, I was watching the fireworks from Chicago last night on TV and I got teary eyed, too. I can't imagine what it will be like tonight surrounded by a ton of people.

This morning we heard what sounded like a helicopter which is nothing new since we live near some kind of helicopter school and rental place. My husband was in our back bedroom and looked out the window to see what it was. He yells, "Oh my God! Look out the window!" So I start to run to the back bedroom. Then he yells, "Look out the patio!! It's coming by you!!" So I (still running) turn, trip on my pajama pants and the cat bed right into the sliding glass door (thankfully, not through the door!) Still, I managed to look out the window. I didn't see anything at first, but then I saw a big old fighter plane, like the kind the dropped the bomb on Hiroshima, and on each side there were 3 modern fighter jets. They were fairly low like they were coming in for landing. It was so cool!!

I wanted to add this picture that I took at Mt. Rushmore a couple of weeks ago. I think it came out really nice.

I hope it looks nice on the computer. I am on AOL and pictures on AOL always look messed up.

Well, to torture you in return, I just want you to know I had two big fat scrumptious Nathan's hot dogs, weighed down with mustard, relish and even ketchup, (and my husband added sauerkraut) yummy greasy fries with cheese, corn and naturally a diet soda. Then my husband and I played Outrunner 3 or 4 times in a row at the video arcade. That's my idea of a date!

It's high desert, and in drought conditions, so no surprise the land looks a bit sparse this summer. Taos is a phenomenally gorgeous place - the light is awesome - particularly as the sun sets - the colors of the sky and the mountains change just as if you're looking through a kaleidescope. It is cool in the evenings and a dry heat during the day - usually not oppressive. If you want a terrific place there to get steaks, freepmail me.

Chelsea Clinton (R), daughter of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, sits on Wimbledon Centre Court with British television impersonator Alistair McGowan (C) and unidentified companion on June 29, 2002.

WHAT???? No more Ian? I know I've been out of the loop lately, but this is interesting. So, that's what she looks like sober?

The Pope was finishing his sermon. He ended it with the Latin phrase,
"Tuti Homini" - Blessed be Mankind.

A women's rights group approached the Pope the next day. They noticed that
the pope blessed all Mankind, but not Womankind. The next day, after His
sermon, the Pope concluded by saying, "Tuti Homini et Tuti Femini" - Blessed
be Mankind and Womankind.

The next day, a gay-rights group approached the Pope. They said that
they noticed that he blessed man kind and woman kind, and asked if he could
also bless gay people. The Pope said, "Sure." The next day, the Pope
concluded his sermon with, "Tuti Homini et Tuti Femini et Tuti Fruiti."
