I had an occasion to be around around one of the AP writers in April, while I took NASCAR photos for a magazine my sister-in-law writes for. The poor thing was unable to spell or punctuate correctly. I thought the spell checker on her laptop was going to explode!
Ever since that observation, I've noticed various problems with AP stories.

Hash Brown Casserole
Approximately 2lbs frozen hash brown spuds
(I can only find the 30oz size, but that's ok.)
8oz sour cream
1 can nacho cheese soup
6 chopped green onions - or to taste
2/3 cup melted butter
16 oz melted Kraft Hot Mexican Velveeta (which is not really hot.)
Mix it all up, sprinkle w/paprika
Bake 1 hour @ 350, or till golden brown - voila.
We've done this receipe for years, and Pam's had
several requests for the receipe, but with the use
of Johnny's Garlic seasoned butter, the crowd went
wild - a totally scraped clean pyrex!
Johnny's GreatCaesar Garlic Spread & Seasoning was
found at my Costco where they were demo-ing it.
Start off at 1/4 - 1/3 the recommended dosage, please.
I think you'll enjoy this product. JL

Apologies up - I'm too lazy to go back and code this post. ;-)

A friend of mine has won several first and second place awards in a statewide newspaper contest, and the AP bureau in our state capital rejected her, saying she needed more experience. At what? Writing more award-winning stories? They also came right out and told her that they had heard she once attended a Republican rally, and as there were no Republicans in their bureau, they didn't think it would work out. Blackballed for being a Pubbie (and she's not even a very conservative one, at that!)
