I got to see her but was not in a great place to get a pic but a friend of mine did get two and they are not too bad considering. It was a great experience just to be there. We hadn't planned it that way. I met one lady in the crowd from Wis. who came Just for the jubilee! Most folks from the London area left town... I saw the concerts on tv...it was all kinda cool just to be there.

Mo, why do you have to be so hamstrung and do things you don't want to do? Can't you just get a headache and stay home?

This is big beautiful McFaddin House in Beaumont - it looked okay from the side, but there was scaffolding and a mess in the front for renovation.

It's my mothers fault .. she raised me to have manners ... plus that catholic guilt can be rough on a person ... LOL
Actually .. she really only wants to see the kids .. which is fine with me .. she can take them any time she wants

There is a cajun restaurant in Breaux Bridge that actually has a cajun band playing at breakfast. You and the boys may not be able to understand most of the folks you'll meet in Breaux Bridge. English is not their first language. LOL.
Swerve and I are tyring to think of the name of this one friendly, kinda funky little restaurant near New Orleans that has fabulous Po Boys. Maybe it will come to me in minute. I can give you direction but the nam,e escapes me at the moment. LOL

I would expect Texas to be brown by the end of June, but what I saw today of it is a brilliant emerald green.

I know all about the manners thing and the catholic guilt stuff. That is why I had such a hard time after my parents died. They had made some wishes known. Well my brother plans on all of us carrying things out to the tee. But the folks did certain things which to my mind negated all that when they did certain things. For years I had my SGLI ins made out first to Ozzie, then to my folks and then to the brothers. After the folks died, I had it all go to Ozzie first and then to the brothers. But then I got mad! Changed things to Ozzie and then to the girls..his girls..my step daughters. Things can still change as circumstances change. But the family guilt thing is in the past. That is a huge part of why I kept our holiday secret from them. I must say, redoing our Trusts and then planning our trip and just keeping all of to ourselves and a few close friends ( and you guys) people knew where we were in case of emergency. But not sharing the typical news I once would have was quite freeing..makes me feel good and not in a revenge sort of way but as if to say...what is good for you is ok for us too. I just wont be controlled anymore.

I'll bet they leave town. the locals weren't just born yesterday. But I would worry about my property with that many strangers in the area.
