I thought about it many times! He had a huge geraldo mustache and was about 5'2" and was the ultimate authoritarian figure. Every word he spoke was in the form of a lecture.

My happiest days as a youngster were when we got to leave mass at communion... you know, when everyone is in line and they dont notice you duck out the back. Take your host and just keep on walkin!

LOL .. yep I remember those days .. and apparently so do the folks at my church and that is why we don't get a bulletin until after mass to prove we attended church ..

My Dad became an usher at the church after I moved out on my own, so he always knew when I didn't show up. It's the only time he had good attendance himself, and suddenly he thought we kids should, too. I guess he had to wear his leisure suit somewhere....

I think I wore it to one funeral and a wedding, I will have to find a picture and scan it. All this church talk is bringing back some funny memories!

He liked me for the most part, he thought I would tame his wild child. Some of his statements made the night I asked for his daughters hand in marriage proved quite prophetic!
