Don't feel alone, Val. I have had the itchy eyes today too and I am on the central coast of California. It got worse after I took little Nacho to the vet.
When I got back from England, I noticed something funny about the iris of his right eye. Took him it today. The good news is that in the last 3 weeks while I was away and he was on ' Tubby Tabby Food", he lost a pound. The bad news is that the Vet does not know what is wrong with the eye. Initial exam shows a partial detached retina. But what the " bubble" in the iris is she can't tell. So I have to take him to Camarillo ( about 2 hours from here) to see a specialist. Worst case is cancer in the eye, best case..just some sort of cyst in the iris. So gang..a few prayers for the kitty are in order...last fall it was Yummie, this spring Missie had an early basal cell skin cancer removed and now little Nacho...has a problem. He is just a sweetie too...loves to polish your shoes with his little declawed paws..feels like a massage. HE is sitting here near me, kind of quiet at the moment. NOrmally he is quite social....The earliest I can get him in in 8 July at 1:30 and it will cost 160.00 just for the initial consult and exam. Anyother tests can range from 15 to 30 bucks per test...and then meds if any are necessary....I'm feeling kinda low right now......:( I really did not need to come back from a whirlwind wonderful trip to face this crisis.

Know what has happened in our area??? The one radio station that had enough power and carried Rush and Dr. Laura had those shows pulled by the owner of the broadcasts. Now here we are virtually shut out as the radio stations that do carry them are so weak we just get static. Giant Pout! :(

*LOL* Yep, you don't catch anyone here saying Chelsea or Janet or Hillary! or madmad are lovely ladies. On the other hand, I think Ann's book is about conservative political figures and officials and essayists in the mainstream media -- and FR isn't part of that world yet. But the ridicule Katherine Harris had to put up with was all over the place... and Linda Tripp for their looks.

awwww... poor little Nacho.

Wow! I'm a dudette! I'm not even using a Dell computer.
To: celtic gal
Sorry about your kittys and your radio blackout, guess you will have to subscribe to Rush 24/7.
To: ValerieUSA
I'm not even using a Dell computer. Are you getting one?
To: operation clinton cleanup
Nope, not getting one either. I have an old generic PC with lots of upgrades and a new HP laptop. But I'm still a dudette - you can't take that back.
To: celtic gal
I hope you sent a very passionate email about pulling those shows!

WorldCom Finds $3.8 Billion Error
By Peter Henderson
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - WorldCom Inc., the No. 2 U.S. long-distance carrier, on Tuesday said it had fired its chief financial officer after uncovering improper accounting of almost $4 billion in expenses, in the latest financial scandal to rock Corporate America.
WorldCom also said it would cut 17,000 jobs, or more than 20 percent of its work force, starting on Friday, a cost-cutting move expected to save $900 million on an annual basis.
WorldCom has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I signed up for cellular service back in April and they have screwed me at every turn. Cutting 17,000 jobs tells me things will not improve anytime soon. Thank God I only signed a one year contract. This is one company that I would like to see go bankrupt.

ATT has been screwy, too, lately. I refuse to ever do business with them again either. Customer service and value are just jokes. They hold us in contempt.

I have had to open 8 different work orders since moving and the only one they got right was the change of billing address! I'm not paying them another dime until I can actually make a call!

I want to get a cell phone to take with me on the trip so Gavin can contact me if anything goes wrong here at home. I don't need one for any other reason though. I wonder if it will be too much hassle and expense for one month.
To: ValerieUSA
I did that for one trip I took and I ended up with a bill for over $300 and a phone that I never got a call out of the local area on...and only 2 of those, both very brief. After pitching a considerable fit, they took the phone back and negated the charges. It was definitely NOT worth it to me. That was AT&T.

uh-oh --- now I'm scared. I HATE AT&T.

*LOL* Catpuppy the Old Quaker -- that's funny! You shouldn't eat oatmeal at bedtime, Mo. If you had had I Can't Believe It's Not Butter catpuppy might have looked like Fabio in your dream.

"you looked like the Quaker's Oats guy" ROTFL! That is too cute!
