WE always had out suspects and we work them until the road ended and went on the the next one. Time, it takes time. Then, we start over again. One day it will all come together and you close the case, sometimes it takes years but it comes together and you close the czse with an arrest.
You never, never give up, never. Always remember, when a person takes something they always leave something behind. You find that something.

Your post remends me of a young man who had just finished college in NY and was on a ship headed for SF. The ship ran into trouble and the crew started throwing all the luggage overboard. The boy had all his books and papers from college in his trunk and when the crew grabed his, he yelled "No, No, don't throw my education overboard'!

Here's that thread about the preacher getting attacked at the funeral ......
Pastor Beaten After Blunt Eulogy
It's worth reading the thread to get to #20!!! Now don't scroll down there first .... it'll ruin the impact of it .... but I promise you'll like it. Caution: Put down the liquid refreshments before reading it.
Daughter and the kidlings got here last night safely.
I will be here very little today but will keep checking in to see if John has an announcement to make.
God bless each of you!!!

I am happy for both of you to have found lost treasures! When my Nanny died, I had hoped for a ring she had promised me. It is an old fashioned filigree ring. We've never found it, it is gone, missing all these years. When my mother died, I had hoped to receive her wedding set since I am the only girl. It is a matched setting of platinum and various sized diamonds. It too is missing, gone to parts unknown. Strange that this should happen twice.... maybe someday when I am really cleaning my mother's house they will turn up.
And a wonderful good morning to you all today. I see Edmunds is in West Virginia this morning in a hospital in Martinsburg. That's where I'm headed about three this afternoon!

Your getting us trained to read and understand
essentials so well, that I expect to see a capital e soon!
Of course we will understand that means I am off being a busy bee.

Well, that was the BEST money I ever spent on the garden. These gentlemen arrived at 7:30, and left at 11:00. They cleared out all the poison ivy, pulled weeds, cut down all the mulberry trees, and generally did what would have taken me WEEKS of work (assuming I could even get in there, which I couldn't, because of the poison ivy). What a great idea this was!
They will come back later in the summer and do some more work if I want. I am a happy camper!
To: Miss Marple
Hooray for you! I remember having a big back yard, full of Mulberry trees and yes, poison ivy growing in and between the honeysuckle twining its way through our fence. Couldn't deal with the PI any more, and got tired of washing the purple colored bird doody off the cars. The money we spent to get professionals in there to clear it all out, including the trees, was the best money I ever spent. Unfortunately, in taking out the poison ivy, we had to take out the honeysuckle. It spelled wonderful in the evenings......

>>BTW, did you ever get to Aladdin's and how was it??
Yes...it was great! [except for the bum who wandered up and made funny noises]

Thanks Chair. I revised it the graphic a little by changing "the right way" to a different red and bigger.
If you like you may use it in your daily opening ...kind of like our own trademark. Be my guest.

Which is the better of the two? The original is on the left...new on the right.Any votes?

No news on the search dogs hitting a scent last night. It did rain here though. Just can't catch any breaks in the case...

Before I left for work this morning, I turned on the TV. NO news about the search dogs hitting a scent last night. :( And according to Fox News, Edmunds is alert and talking.

BEST money I have ever spent...
POLs, Miss Marple! You can not know how many times I have heard that!
General cleanups were among my favorite accounts. Louis and I developed a landscape ballet ... where the guys would swoop in ... weed, trim, prune, cut, pull and mulch ... and then, one by one ... get back in the truck, leaving the last man out to ... walking backwards ... sweep clean the walkways and drives with a gas powered blower.
Think of it as a You will close your eyes and forget everything you have seen Mexican celebration dance ... ending with a refreshed landscape. HAR!
It left my clients' neighbors drooling ... LOL!
Thank you for the update ... I was wondering!
To: illstillbe
We paid the money for the job, not hourly, so that they could leave when they were done. It worked out that what we paid them was triple the hourly wage they get during the week. However, this way was far cheaper than the estimate I got from someone who basically wanted to operate a chain saw.
I also should say that these guys did all this work without power tools...cut those big mulberries down with an ax. I had to go out and stop one who was going to climb a tree to get grapevine...I didn't want him to fall and get hurt.
All in all, most splendid work, they are happy, we are happy, they appreciated the cooler of drinks we put out, they were offered the use of our bathroom but declined, and we all got along quite well. Mr. Marple is now mad he doesn't know Spanish.

habs4ever ... it is my
firm conviction that
Southern people are really
Irish folks who somehow took a wrong
turn and exchanged their
shot glasses for deviled
egg platters. *grins*
Molly ... how neat to have found your ring!!!!
Get this ... which country actually has a department which is called ... The Movement Against Racism and for Friendship Between People?!
Also known as MRAP ...
Hint ... A besoin de vous demande?
To: lysander13135; *ATRW
I vote for #2 ... you techno genius, you! *grins*
This just in ... Henry VIII delayed the Industrial Revolution for several hundred years.
No kidding!
Details to follow ....
To: Miss Marple
Miss Marple .. a sad fact ... they will
never use a client's bathroom ... it reaches nearly superstitious proportions to them ... as tales abound about accusations of theft etc. ~~~ resulting in deporatation ... and
man, I am glad I am saying this on
this thread.... and not on the
other side. *snirk to the sour pusses*
While I am rambling ... can we not lose the Homeland moniker and return to the tried and true Department of War?!
