You do that and I will buy a couple of apples.
You DID know that Billy Gates is one of the three BIGGIE donors to the new DemonRat super think-tank foundation thingie, didn't you??
Gates gives Gazillions to the Rats, and Jobs puts the Klintoons up in his private residences...
*Sigh*
Amiga, where are you??
(Linux on Intel is the only viable alternative... There IS a reason that the Gatesians keep trying to equate open source software with communism, and it has nothing to do with open source software either. It is about the only way to avoid the Leftist cabal.)

She said that they had gotten a little rain, and the slight elevation in humidity gave them a window of opportunity to start getting a handle on it. I am relieved. As it is, it will be very hard when I am out there to see some of my favorite spots just not there any more, and probably they will not be restored to any great extent in my lifetime. On the other side of thigs, I expect I will appreciate what is left far more than before.

Uh-oh. No, when the fire gets going, it'll roll through anything in its path.
I found my camera and accessories. My zoom lens is 60-200. I have a few filters: star-six, skylight, polarizer, UV. I can't even remember what the skylight filter does. It's been a very long time since I used any of these. My camera has 100 ASA film in (I'm sure leftover from last summer), I'll just take that out and load a fresh roll, something a little faster for the foggy day. I won't take a tripod (I actually have one), don't want to carry it.

Hey, CG! Glad to see you back. I didn't get a postcard from you yet. When my mom travelled overseas, I usually didn't get her cards until after she was back.
I'll "talk" later. I'm heading out for a walk and photography session. I've been walking every day for the past week, and working out with some hand weights.

Hi CG. Welcome home. I'm glad the kitties are well. I know when I am away for awhile, Nermal seems more appreciative when I come home. At least he used to. Now he just scolds me and gives me these looks like "what the h*** were you thinking?"

Since I got my Olympus E-10 digital, I have not shot a roll of film. When I worked for the paper I caried my Pentax with a HUGE 300 zoom/macro lens all the time. I don't miss it at all now.

However val can tell you the best E cameras that will let you control anything you want to.

I really do want to control exposures and shutter speeds. When I use a point and shoot, and I more often than not disappointed with the results. I need to spend a little green and get a decent digital and spend a little time learning how to use it. I will contact Val later for what to look for. I had eyeballed a few, but didn't even know the right questions to ask. Plus, I keep spending my money on guns and ammo.

Okay, Black Ice is back on my PC, but I'm using the laptop now. I suppose I ought to install it here, too. What is telnet? Check your freepmail. I sent you something scary.

This is interesting:
LOXLEY, Ala. -- Authorities in Loxley, Ala., are investigating the alleged beating of a preacher by funeral mourners who didn't like his blunt eulogy. Glynis Bethel told The Associated Press that her husband -- the Rev. Orlando Bethel -- was attacked during a June 14 funeral and dragged out of the church.
That's because Bethel told mourners the deceased was in Hell and that they were headed the same way.
The dead man was Glynis Bethel's uncle.
Orlando Bethel referred to him as a "drunkard and a fornicator."
Glynis Bethel, who's also a preacher, says "the fornicators didn't like what he said so they got up and beat him." She says police didn't make any arrests, so she and her husband -- who may have a broken nose -- are taking out warrants.

Yes, I have Linux on here, dual boot. Wnen I feel completely up to speed, I will drop Windoze. I jst personally find Jobs repulsive. I would still find him repulsive as a Republican

Those wacky Southern Baptists take their religion seriously. I wouldn't want anybody bad-mouthing my kinfolk either, before they are even laid to rest.

Me too. The new IMacs are STILL hot, though!!!!!!!

Then make sure you don't hire an in-law to do the eulogy at any family funerals. Maybe they chose him because he wouldn't charge for the service - seeing as how the deceased was his wife's uncle.

You'd think that it would be self-evident, wouldn't you??
I didn't notice that when I read it, and I was referring to blood kin only.
