I've been in a lot of places in the summer and lived in a few. Without a doubt the worst I've seen is Washington D.C. You can't even take a cold shower there in the summer without sweating! I also lived half of one summer in San Antonio.

So true Loddy. Isn't it interesting how those that make the laws the rest of us must live by exist in an environment of sterile concrete and many couldn't tell an elk from a buffalo. The ones who regulate an environment need to be the ones whio live in and are familiar with that environment, not those who would completely freak out if they ever had to survive there themselves.

I have to get things together and do most of my packing this weekend for my trip because I won't really have much time for it next week. I want to leave early Friday morning and I'll be working out of town for the previous couple of days and I will be too tired when I get home on Thursday. I will just be wanting to get a good night's sleep before getting on the road.

I've been to San Antonio in the Summer and it is very hot as it is all over Texas but I don't think it compares with New Orleans. I think the marketing folks at Procter & Gamble ate a few too many peppers somewhere in El Mercado and just thought it was the city that made them sweat.

Uh, Cindy.... 17' ain't a yacht. According to the stats for the 174' Salperton's tender is 21'. Ooooooh, I'm more than a little jealous.... it is a beauty. It sleeps 10 with a crew of 10 and it has more water sports toys than some resorts. LOL The Salperton
