More drug news from the Sacramento Bee (I was born in Sacramento) uhhh... that's not the drug news -- this is:

Nesler pleads guilty in meth case
SONORA -- Ellie Nesler has pleaded guilty to two felony drug charges. She faces a six-year prison term at sentencing, scheduled for July 8, and her actual prison time figures to be longer than she spent for killing a man in a courtroom nine years ago.
Nesler appeared Tuesday in Tuolumne Superior Court, where she ended up agreeing to guilty pleas on two counts -- furnishing methamphetamine and possessing an ingredient with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
Nesler, 49, was convicted of manslaughter in 1993 for the courtroom slaying of a man accused of molesting her son. She was sentenced to 10 years, but in 1997 the state Supreme Court threw out part of her conviction. Rather than go through a new trial, the state accepted a manslaughter plea in exchange for time already served -- about three years and nine months.
Under Tuesday's plea bargain and state laws for people with one strike, she must serve 80 percent of the six-year sentence: four years, 9 ½ months.

Don't know if you are familiar with Mok. County and the Sonora area...but none of these stories surprise me. It's hillbilly land, California style.

Bertram used to have a Hazelnut beer that wasn't my favorite, but it was very popular with the ladies. Mt. Borah Pale Ale is my fav.

I just saw the end of the segment on O'Reilly with Leila Ali (Cassius Clay's fighter daughter) - she's very pretty and well-spoken and has rejected the Muslim religion (to her dad's disappointment).

See, Val? It would appear that calling me a hillbilly wasn't so far afield after all! although that's not where I'm from...

Doesn't work with sweatshirts that say "YALE" -- you have to have one that says "Y'all"
