What is a Freeople?? ....
A Freeople - it's kind of a long, evolving story. But I'll give it a shot. Last year, a whole bunch of us were banned from another site for what seemed to be pretty arbitrary reasons, like committing the sin of addressing a post to another poster. Many of us found our way over here, and a "reunion" thread was begun. After a few threads, the name became "You People" because of the way we had been addressed by the staff on the other site. The thread name evolved to Freeoples, for People who Freep. I think. Anyway, it has been evolving, we discuss politics, post links to stories that are pushing our buttons, have heated discussions on issues of the day, have friendly discussions, joke around, etc. I hope you drop by now and then and join us
Thanks .38sw

Just checked with Bloodhorse magazine and found that Proud Citizen, the horse they vanned off after the Belmont has a cracked left shin. He is able to put his weight on it, there's no swelling in the ankle or the knee which is a good sign apparently. he will be out of training for 90 - 120 days.
As it regards Imadeed, the mare that went down with the horse that cracked its skull, x-rays showed there was no fracture but she suffered a torn suspensory ligament and bowed a tendon in the right front leg.
The vet said there will be on-going evaluations today and tomorrow and a course of treatment settled upon.
These are not 'good' injuries, though not as horrid as cracking the skull. I would imagine her owners will allow her to recover and then put her in the breeding shed. I believe I heard talk last night that the owners owned her mother, making her a homebred--thus I would imagine they are rather attached to her and prefer to keep her out of harms way.

Verrrry interesting....Her attorney was OUTRAGED, just OUTRAGED that his client, the lovely Winona, was even having to spend time in court. It's an OUTRAGE. Did I mention that it is an OUTRAGE?
While she is doing time, maybe she can do the 'research' for one of those 'Wimmin's Prison' porno movies. After all her mainstream career has become a joke.

"Just think what Tommy's life has been like all these years," said Martha's brother, John Moxley, a commercial real estate broker in New Jersey, "being a suspect and knowing Michael did it. That would create some animosity."
That explains why Tommy wasn't hanging around during the trial, but showed up for the verdict. That is a hell of a 27 year price to pay even for a brother.

Great 'toon! Thanks. ;-)
Also, thanks for all the exceptional live thread work that you do - those fight drawings were keyboad killers, especially when Tyson got cut. Just genius.

I'm glad those 2 horses are going to be okay. I always thought it was just too sad when a horse was destroyed for an injury that might be repaired as was common at one time. Still tragic that a horse died like that. I guess it's just me and horses. Somehow I always held them several notches above other animals, and while it's sad when any animal dies tragically, it just seems that horses are just too beautiful and noble to die like that.
