This is tough.... western Washington has abundant wetlands.

Wetland thwarts plans to build mosque in Bellevue
BELLEVUE -- Nearly 17 months after applying to build a mosque, local Muslims have halted their plans after the city discovered a wetland on the proposed site, located in a residential neighborhood. The Ithnasheri Muslim Association of the Northwest, a Shiite group, informed the city last week that it was stopping the project to save money and re-evaluate its permit application.
... Since it first applied for a conditional-use permit in January 2001, IMAN has faced strong opposition from residents in the east Bellevue neighborhood. People expressed concerns about traffic congestion, the size of the $3 million building, illumination and height. The facility would measure 30,000 square feet, run 30 feet high and have 151 parking spaces. Neighbors also complained that the 4.3-acre lot might be a wetland.
Last year, however, city planners did not find one. But in March, Julia Kruger, who began overseeing the permit application after the former planner went on medical leave, visited the site. She noticed wet soil and vegetation. A wetland biologist has confirmed the city's suspicions: There is a three-quarter-acre wetland in the middle of the parcel.

Last night Leno said there was a new gender test for Olympic Athletes. They are all brought into a stadiium and shown "Divine Secrets of the YA Ya Sisterhood" anyone who does not run out screaming is a true genetic female.
