We're having the strangest weather right now. It's very overcast, lots of dark clouds and the wind is really blowing things around. I'm hearing lots of rumbling thunder followed by lightening but so far not one drop of rain but it can't be long. Yesterday afternoon about this time it looked like we were having a monsoon.... I think we're looking at a repeat of yesterday. LOL. I'm glad I was "convinced" to stay away from the river or the coast today. FOFL.

Air fares are ridiculously cheap - ATA just sent their weekly deals - unbelievable.

Congress had best quit jerking around, fire Mineta, arm the pilots, profile the terrorist types, and get the travel industry going again.

We normally fly at least five or six times a year, but after what we went through in Charleston, and Mrs. lodwick experienced in DaytonaBeach - forget it. I hate driving, but I hate the airport experience a ton more.

oooh... how exciting. The source of most of the excitement in my life recently seems to be the weather. I need a sunsititute soon, because the boring every day is a sunny 95-105 degrees weather is about to set in.

This amusing old thread was broguht back to life today:
Zaftig: The Case for Curves
It's encouraging to see so many men preferring the Kate Winslet type figure to the waifish Winona Ryder figure

Darlin', you mentioned to me last night that I should see "The Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood". Your reasoning and movie revue made a good case for it, but it is after all a Chick Flic. I could do that, but going to a Chick Flic without a chic to take along and make feel guilty about it would be wrong. I have ordered the book and I will see the movie this fall on DVD.

War Emblem is a descendant of Man of War. It is the greatest lineage in racing. In a minute we will see if he can live up to it.

I hear ya. You're preaching to the choir, dahlin'.
This summer we're mostly concentrating on cruises from Florida or New Orleans and driving holidays to destinations in the Southestern U.S for our leisure clients. For some business travelers I'm booking private aircraft charters. It is a pretty costly but expedient option.

If you get tired of hearing about War Emblem or War Admiral, Take a look at this:

Seabiscuit

This is the story of the greatest horse race ever run, The match race between War Admiral and Seabiscuit.

War Admiral had won the Triple Crown the year before, but Seabiscuit beat him so decisively that he broke his spirit and War Admiral was through as a race horse.

FOFL. Yes, I can understand why you might want to pass on a Chick Flick without a Chick. LOL. I'm sure you'll enjoy the book because you'll know similar characters and be able to appreciate their eccentries. LOL.

Whew, No Triple Crown this year. Can you say, Holy Long Shot ! LOL

The way he balked before docking, I thought that horse didn't want to be there. What a great win!
