Mornin' Loddy. Mornin' Val. I can't bear to read things about animal abuse. The kind of people who would do such things are right down there with those who hurt or kill innocent children. I think Ratty is right; they are impotent cowards and the only thing that makes them feel big and brave is abusing those who are defenseless. Are they really better than terrorists, except in numbers? After all, they only target the innocent and defenseless too. I mean, let's face it, the strongest man is as defenseless as a baby if he doesn't know he's being targeted.

And who decided that this was a brand new revelation??? Apart from the obvious, we studied all this stuff in physiological psychology in college! I wonder when somebody is going to publish a "new" study that determines that the sky is blue, grass is green and that the sun will come up tomorrow.

Construction workers in Dublin, Calif., watched a man drive up in a new-looking Volvo to their cement truck. He "asked the concrete workers to fill him up for a job he was doing," a police spokesman says. While the driver remained behind the wheel, the workers aimed the concrete chute through the window and did as he asked. He then drove away with wet concrete filling the inside of the car up to the steering wheel. Police say they are "at a loss to explain the case."
