I just heard the first reports on what Bush will anounce today. I think it is a disaster.

There is gonna be a new Terrorism agency which is suposed to get all the terrorism data from FBI, CIA, NSA, NRO and consolidate and send it back out . It is under Useless Tom Ridge and the Homeland Security Office. The problem has always been that none of these agencies will share. Now they have a new agency to not share with.

We are going to have to roll the CIA, NSA, NRO into one agency and give it responsibility for domestic inteligence as well. Nothing else will work. We just need to be careful not to give that agency any police powers.

58 years ago today - D-Day

Thanks for the link. I'll have to spend a little time on it later. My mother's brother, Earl, died on D-Day. He was a crew member aboard a bomber that went down over the English Channel that day. My dad always told me that I was a lot like Earl - my mannerisms and personality reflect his. I also look a little like him. I would have loved to have known him. Because of Earl, my husband and I give money to the D-Day memorial foundation in his name.

Well, it's started. The weather is hot, and yesterday, a grandfather left his 5 month old grandchild in his car for several hours. He forgot about the child. Well, the child died. I heard about one last week somewhere else in the country. How in the world can you forget you left your baby in the car? FOR HOURS?!! This just makes me so sick.

Well, that IS a good thing. Those Idaho girls are pretty resourceful! I forgot to mention that the story I mentioned above was local, South San Francisco. There is no corner of hell hot enough for people who do such things.
