Nighty night... I was gone for a couple of minutes folding clothes, and someone (Kristinn) sent me a yahoo message that caused a whole bunch of porn pop-up ads. gggrrrrrrrr... I hate that!

Gross Out Alert!
Janet Reno and Martin Sheen in Campaign Liplock
Sheen misunderstood Hollywood's new rule requiring a lesbian kiss in every production.

Just a quick post before I wander off to bed. We just got back from my husband's cousin's place. He had ordered the Lewis-Tyson pay per view and invited over a whole bunch of people for barbecue and the fight. It was a lot of fun! By the end of the evening, I'd arranged a "Ladies Day at the Range". Some of the ladies want to buy guns and learn to shoot, and I volunteered to help 'em out. Am I a bad influence?

I actually enjoyed the fight as well. I must be a bad person... :)

Bush Plan's Underground Architects

Y'all HAVE to read that one. It is sooooo obvious that Bush is playing chess to the Congresses' checkers game, that it is not funny. When the Rats woke up Thursday morning, they had no clue that Bush was about to take the wind out of their patchwork sails, and to TOTALLY re-vamp most of the Federal government.

I don't know if anybody else has noticed or not, but every time Congress starts yapping about something that the President 'MUST' do, not long after that, Bush will release a plan which does exactly what they requested. BUT, he does it in such a way, that Congress is FAR less happy than when they were yapping.

Case in point...

Congress:

"Ridge MUST testify."

"Ridge can't have line item budget control unless he is a cabinet member and able to be interrogated in front of a TV camera by Rats."

"The FBI and CIA are bureacratic messes."

"Homeland security is just a feel-good name for a powerless Presidential adviser."

etc etc etc ad nauseum.

SO... What does Bush do?? He releases a plan to TOTALLY overhaul the agencies involved with homeland defense, and ALL of the Congressional fiefdoms contained within.

If Bush will, (And I have no reason to think he won't) He could actually slash the size of the Federal bureaucracy by eliminating duplicated functions in separate departments, and by flattening the bureaucratic structure.

He hasn't requested any additional funding, and he is doing EXACTLY what the Congress was yapping for. And the IMPORTANT thing is, he gave them no chance to bitch about his new plan in the media, before it was released. This is VERY important.

Had the Rats gotten their grubby little paws on this plan, BEFORE it was released to the media, then we would have had Daschole in front of a camera with a Lexus and a muffler all over again.

As it stands now, The rats have had to go back and study the thing before they could shoot it down. Yes, it is hard for Tiny Tommy to receive the document in his child-sized hands, then turn around in fifteen meinutes and have prepared talking points to lie about it in an effort to stop Bush. And don't forget, the Lying Scoundrels also had to go back and review what THEY had been yapping about for weeks, to make sure that Hume doesn't nail them to the wall next week, with something stoooopid that they said weeks ago.

Just like money is the mother's milk for politicians, the MEDIA is the Mother's milk of the DNC mind control apparatus, and when Bush deprives them of their lead time, they look waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy stoooooooooopid. Even more so than usual.

That sound of the giant sucking noise that you hear, is just the sound of DemonRat Congressional aids scurrying around the hill in a feverish attempt to have focus-group tested negative talking points in time for today's gabfests. I bet it has been a LONG 72 hours for them.

Like the article says... If there are no trial ballons, then they can't be shot down.

One other little minor point that I would be remiss not to mention, is that in this election year, when the Rats have to bribe voters by promising to rob the rich even more and to give it to their constituency, the worried Rats will also have to squabble among themselves to make sure that their little slice of the blood-money pie is NOT taken away by this re-structuring. Turf wars among the Rats will be deliciously entertaining to watch. They are vicious enough with US, but when the in-fighting starts, the fur WILL fly.

If I was a Rat, I would stop for a second, and SERIOUSLY consider refraining from trying to beat this President over the head with issues, and also to stop trying to tell him how to do things, because every time that they do, he does EXACTLY what they are clamoring about except that he does it in a way that makes the Rats and the Congress look stoooopid.

"Am I a bad influence?"

Only if it's their husbands they want to learn to shoot.

Morning Libby - who knows where everyone is this morning. I'm trying to re-caffeinate myself, read the fight thread, get the pets fed, and generally taking it easy.

The Thon thread makes me angry at the moochers, so I'll prolly try and avoid it as long as possible. Maybe wander back to Ono Island. ;-)

Very good, Ratt.
All in all, Thursday was a very bad day for the demonrats. They looked petulous and pompous on TV during the hearings, and a day late and a dollar short after the President's speech that evening. They must have wished it had all just been a bad dream when they woke up on Friday morning.
