"He was just glad it wasn't porn..." Sounds like he may have had some experience. There was a report the other day on using filters for the internet in the libraries...I think this was local but Idon't remember for sure, but there were several libraries involved. A determination was made that the libraries can't block porn because it would be a violation of free speech, but they can block sites relating to health, social and political issues...which covers just about anything they care to categorize there. We are in deep trouble!

My, ummm, predecessor was accessing all kinds of porn. The idjit was even using a dialup number in JAPAN to get on (and get off) even though we have a very fast cable hook up...

There really needs to be an effort made to name (or discover) the sperm donors of these welfare babies and get them to pay support, marry the moms or take custody. BOTH parents need to claim the child and indigence to get state support for the child. A woman who cannot name the father of her baby is an unfit mother and oughtn't have custody if she can't support it.

Margaret refused to name the sperm donor for Katie.
It could have provided him with a way of tracking Katie down at some future date. She did not want this to happen, he was NOT an nice man.

That was a great experience for your nephew--Boys' State. Do they still have a national Boys' State to-do? If I recall correctly, Alan Keyes went to the national deal and was elected something like President. I believe it was his experience with Boys State and the VFW debating that got him interested in his field of study, government, and foreign service.
