it takes me awhile to catch up reading the thread because yall are really chatty today. I think we are all so tired of the nastyness about the EPA paper that we just want to play Fantasy Island, and Ringy brought us an Island.

An island with a pink house --- it's too bad I don't have my '56 pink Cadillac any more to drive over and visit. *L* The woman who bought it painted hot pink flames on it.

Hi Val,
Anything on the news about our rains down here? Santiago had around 5" of rain in the last 24-hours...wettest year in a 'hunnerd (as they say down south) years. Lots of flooding in Santiago and the Río Mapuche, which goes through the center of town, is just about out of its banks.
And, yeppers, gold continues to climb.

I like to speak up on other news threads, but there are some I don't bother with. They aren't about news or being clever - they are just about screeching and wallowing in doomsday misery.

"A policewoman and competitive pistol shootist."Nice glocks!

Uh-oh... all that rain in Chile must have something to do with all the new Dodge Durangos I've noticed in Waco lately. We're destroying your weather. Never mind that the weather on this planet has undergone countless major cycles for millions of years before cars were invented - NOW it is the fault of fossil fuel combustion.

Yep, and the idiots are out in full force the last 2 days. I won't get into the name calling contests, at least not unless I have something devistatingly cruel to say.

Think of the needed break their families get when the idjits are posting venom on FR instead of bothering them with all of it.
To: Cuttnhorse
Hey Cuttnhorse, I saw a clip on the late night news about the rains down there. I hope you're house isn't in any damger of flooding. I just saw this thread about gold priceds today.
Nymex gold climbs to $330 level
To: Cuttnhorse
I see you had a 4.7 quake near the coast in Chile this morning. With all the rain, that might cause some extra landslide danger.

Think of the needed break their families get when the idjits are posting venom on FR instead of bothering them with all of it. If it weren't for the Internet their families would have chained them up in the attic long ago.

And on the 2nd you had a 5.4 earthquake at the Chile/Bolivia border region. Turn down that rock and roll music!

Hola Darlin'
All the miners are getting their collective hopes up...hoping this rise in price will last more than a few weeks. With the price up around $350/oz, companies will actually start exploration programs again. One of the reasons demand for gold is outstripping supply is there are no new projects in the development-construction stage as most companies curtailed exploration several years ago.
Here's hoping!!

Good luck swervie -- build up your strength so you can competently tie ribbons in little girls' hair.
