I'm not sure what I'm looking at with her, but I might be seeing retirement. She says she is old and tired. She doesn't want to leave you, but I am sure that at her age she also wants to stay near her family. Also, the older you are the more set in your ways and the less you are willing to put up with change.
Poor Ringy, you might have to learn to cook. 8-))

Too big for just me, Bess and Molly Grumble all you want, but you won't be happy without space for 20 or 30 unexpected house guests.

ROFLMBO. How does someone "hage" a birthday? That's one I haven't heard of. Tell us more girlfriend, please. Breathlessly waiting. :)

Mornin' Valerie. :) Looks like we're off to a good start today :)

I've been gone too much. Given her too much time to think. My problem is, I love her far too much to cause her distress, if this IS what she has decided to do, I won't make it worse for us. If she wants to retire, her way is paved for her. Anytime. She knows that. :)
To: Letitring
Hehehehe. That's a new one to me, too. I think I wanna plead long nails getting in the way of my typing today. Howzatsound ? Believable ? FOFL
To: ValerieUSA
LOL. Hi sweetie. Whatz up?
To: Mo1
Hi, Mo. Congratulations! You've been designed the only polite person on this thread. You should be very proud of yourself! (hehehe)

Will the Congressional hearings on intelligence communications get to the bottom of the failure to prevent the attack of 9/11? NO ..

I know you love her and she loves you just as much. I don't know how either one of you could ever do without the other. I don't think yuou can. :) This is sad to me and it must be killing you and Bess. :(

I've found two places I am interested in. One is on the Tenn-Tom river. The other is on Ono Island, Alabama. I like both of them. The river place has lots of land. Riverfront. Old antebellum home, restored, updated. Big old white house. Even has an iron fence. LOL. So cute. Gardens galore, landscaped. Lots of potential. Ono Island is/was a corporate resort. On the tip of the island. Pink stucco. Deep water boat piers, x 4, with boat house. Pretty pool, lanai area, courtyard, five or six guest houses, nice. I really like it. More I think about it, more I want it.

I hope you are able to work it out with Bess. Very tough situation, and like Swervie says, the older you get, the more resistant you are to change.
Now, as to our house hunting, I'm having a real challenge with my husband. He has unrealistic expectations about what we can afford. For instance, where we are living now, a 2 bedroom 1 bath fixer-upper can run near $500,000. Well, we'd like something larger, besides which half a mil is a bit too much. I'm think $350 - $400 thou range. He wants to live in an area the same as where he lived earlier, before we met. Ain't gonna happen. Real estate prices here have simply skyrocketed, so we're looking at moving further away from the bay area. I'm looking at a flyer for a home with 4 bedrooms, 2 1.2 bath, lots of amenties, landscaped front and back yards, deck, fireplaces, loft - for $339,000. But it is around 40 miles from where we are currently living. I don't mind, but hubby sure does. He'll even have a shorter commute to work from there. I guess you just can't please everyone.

Well, I was heading over here last night, to talk to you guys, and got distracted by a headline. Went to read and WHAM. It was awful. There are some crazy folks in this world, and sometimes I think the biggest majority have found their way to this web site. Good grief LOL ... The last couple nights I got caught up with the buffoons that are hitting this site
I have never in all my days since such a bunch of trigger happy people that are itching to start another revolutionary war
These folks are not interested in a President .. they want a dictator who will get rid of every thing and every one they don't like
And these are the same folks that claim to love and stand by the Constitution
I am sure Our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves at some of the folks around this site lately

Yes, it is tough. I just know I can't make it any harder for her, if that is her choice. I'll just have to deal with it, for the rest of my life, I'm sure. :( Those prices are something. Sounds like you've found a good deal, though. Houses get pricey down here for coastal property. Otherwise, not bad at all. Of course, the climate is rough in the Summer.
To: Darlin'
I really don't know what I'll do. Truly. I just had thought she'd be with me forever. I try to take care of her, make life easy for her. She really doesn't have that much she HAS to do, just she, being she, is always busy. Perpetual motion. Never, ever stops. She is in her rooms. Strange. I've found out there is nothing physically wrong with her. Well, no more than usual. :) It's like she has withdrawn, or something. I dunno. Go figure.
To: Mo1
Mo, that is an excellant analogy. You're absolutely right. I battle with them from time to time and they're exhausting. They're not interested in anything but their own narrow view of the world and that view is scarey as all get out.

If you take up two handed shooting, take picturesWell, I could have the SA .45 in one hand, and the kimber in the other. Although, since I got the Kimber, the SA is pretty rough in comparison. Me, spoiled?
