It's been decades since the truth was taught in history textbooks. They were being rewritten from a skewed liberal viewpoint even when I was in high school in the mid-70's (no, not 1870's) - it started when history and geography became "social studies."

We should have cared about Condit's behavior long before Chandra disappeared. He's been a risk to national security (as was Clinton) for years. Sexual scandals are dangerous, not just for the participants, but for everyone who depends on them to be honorable. Where there is no honor, there is no security.
Though Chandra is a murder victim, that does not mean her honor is unquestionable. She chased after a married man, a U.S. Congressman, that made her dishonorable and unpatriotic.

Reminds me of an "immigrants week" we had in 8th grade (1978). All our classes were related to immigration in some way. We were supposed to dress up according to the country our family came from. We even had to sit in a small classroom to simulate being on the boat coming over. We then had to stand in line and be processed through "Ellis Island".

They've been rewriting Texas history in the newspapers, too -- I've been following the big special stories in the major papers and they are definitely giving "equal time" to the Mexican side.

I hope every time a story like this comes out, another handful of parents pull their kids out of the government indoctrination centers public school system and find a way to put their kids in private schools or home school them. I believe that is the only hope for the future of our country.
