*LOL* My sentiments about the in-laws, too. Moving to Texas helped me solve that.

I saw that on the news, too. That stuff is highly regulated and worth a lot on the underground market. I would think it would be clever of the FBI to report stolen dynamite and then let word spread that someone has dynamite for sale and see who is interested.... same with cyanide....

I only wish that the feebies were half as smart as you. Keystone Kops!

A War Prayer
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells;
Help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead;
Help us to drown the thunder of our guns with the shrieks of their wounded writhing in pain;
Help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire;
Help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief.
For our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes;
Blight their lives, Protract their bitter pilgrimage; Make heavy their steps;
Water their way with their tears, Stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet.
We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset, and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts.
Amen.
Mark Twain (1835-1910), U.S. author.

That pretty much covers it...
To: lodwick
Well, maybe change 'snow' to 'sand'...
To: null and void
lof - snow to sand! Samuel always was the master of understatement.
Laters, manana, and good evening all. Going into FullLurk mode. JL
To: null and void; yall
Okay everyone, dinner's over!

There's VERY few guys (SEALS?) that are HALO qualified. I think only SEALs in the Navy. They may not say where or when, but most are proud to at least say they were SEAL.

Like Jesse Ventura who claims to have been a SEAL, but I think he was a SeaBee

That stuff is highly regulated and worth a lot on the underground market. I would think it would be clever of the FBI to report stolen dynamite and then let word spread that someone has dynamite for sale and see who is interested. Actually it's not that highly regulated.
If you have a rural address and a matching driver's license, and are willing to fill out a one page form stating that you will use it within 24 hours and not store it, you can buy a couple of tons at a time. It has been years since I had any reason to do it, but the regs haven't changed.

A War Prayer...
Mark Twain (1835-1910), U.S. author.
This unfortunately is sarcasm.
It is part of one of Twains Anti War and Anti religion rants.

But people who don't want to be identified have to steal it.
To: ValerieUSA
Like Jesse Ventura who claims to have been a SEAL, but I think he was a SeaBee Jesse Ventura was a SEAL. The official record that he was a SEAL is clear. The liberals misread it in their ignorance of all things military, and tried to smear him.

I recognized it as sarcasm.... Twain was a sanctimonious pacifist. I don't understand how someone could write a character like Huck Finn's father without understanding the need to physically defeat evil people or risk the lives of the innocent.
To: ValerieUSA
But people who don't want to be identified have to steal it. Stupid people steal it. Smart people get a phoney drivers license. It involves a lot less risk and lifting.
If we are dealing with stupid terrorists that is encouraging.

My apologies to Ventura then.
To: ValerieUSA
Twain was a sanctimonious pacifist. Twain wasn't a complete pacifist, he just hated people who called on God to help them kill. He rightly thought they were hypocrites. Calling on God to help you kill is exactly what Muslims do.

Praying for the safety of our soldiers and swift victory over an enemy that means to slaughter us or others is not hypocritical. Fighting for freedom and security is not the same thing as murdering to ensure a harem of virgins for yourself in heaven.
