Hi everyone..just a quick minute here.. thanks fory the bon voyage wishes!!
Just got back from the Memorial Day services out at Los Osos memorial park and cemetery. It was long but it was great! Music by the San Luis Obispo musicians was better than ever and the barbershop group called the Gold Coast singers sang wonderful songs and they are better and better every year. There were the kids from the Grizzly Academy which is a unit that is run by the Army folks up at Camp San Luis. These are kids who are well on the way to jail but this gives them a chance to clean up the act before they get into real serious problems ( they cannot have records but are at risk kids) They did some marching and silent drill and they are really excellent. And there were the homing pidgeons that are the decendents from the WWII birds that flew over and then set off for home and there were the lads who parachuted in, one having the American Flag attached to his body and that was unfurled on his way down....and there were laying of the wreaths but the speaker was the son of charles Lindburgh, Charles Lindburgh Jr. Following all of that was a picnic of tritip sandwiches, chips and cool drinks. The fog lifted and the sun came out and it was a sparkling warm day out there. Now I am back and need to get our flag out!!! better late than not at all LOL. and I need to get a few things done here but never fear, I shall be back to check in on all your doings earlier in the day!

That sounds like a wonderful ceremony.
It's hot here and the A/C isn't working right. I'll have to call the agency tomorrow.
Garrett found some shoes he likes at Mervyns and they were only $30 -- a real bargain for acceptable shoes for a teenage boy these days. Usually when he finds a shoe he likes on sale they don't have any size 13s left.
